Wonderful Safari Experience with a Few Helpful Notes

Overall, we had a wonderful time on safari in Tanzania. Moria Tours was punctual and even picked us up partway from Serval Wildlife, which was very convenient. The drivers were incredibly kind and took the time to teach us some Swahili phrases, which was both helpful and a beautiful insight into the culture. We truly enjoyed learning how to make coffee at Materuni Falls—it was a memorable and enriching experience. That evening, we stayed at Charity Hall Hotel. While it was clean and functional, it felt more like a budget hotel and was not our favorite. In the future, we would likely pay closer attention to the hotel selections provided. On day two, our early-morning hot air balloon experience was absolutely amazing. Although the transfer driver from the hotel to the balloon launch site arrived late, he did his best to get us there as quickly as possible. The hot air balloon experience with Miracle was breathtaking. Because there were so few guests, we were actually the only ones in the balloon, which made it extra special. We saw elephants, lions, and many other animals. The captain was extremely knowledgeable, and the entire team worked seamlessly together. The breakfast afterward was beautifully prepared, clean, and thoughtfully organized. The driver who transferred us to Tarangire Safari was also very knowledgeable, which added to the experience. One suggestion we would offer is clearer communication about how many people will be in the safari Land Cruiser. We have long legs, and being seated in the back with a full vehicle was quite uncomfortable and, at times, painful. In the future, limiting the vehicle to four or five guests might greatly improve comfort. Another helpful improvement would be providing advance information about luggage limits in the Land Cruiser. We were not aware that we could not bring all of our bags, which caused some last-minute coordination and stress. Our Ngorongoro experience the following day was also very nice. The drivers were friendly and knowledgeable, and the other passengers were lively and fun. Our only note was regarding the secondary hotel, which did not have air conditioning. This was particularly difficult for my husband, as the heat made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience seeing so many incredible animals and exploring Tanzania. With clearer communication around vehicle space, luggage limits, and hotel amenities, the experience could be even better for future guests.

My girlfriend and I went on a six-day safari with Moria Safaris. We visited Materuni Waterfalls on the first day and in the afternoon we made coffee with the locals, from processing the coffee beans to drinking it freshly brewed. The following days we left by Jeep and visited the national parks of Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We saw the animals from so close that we could almost touch them. It was a magnificent and unforgettable experience made possible by the impeccable organisation of the safari, from the accommodation, to the transfers, to the freshly prepared meals even on the two camping days spent in Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Fresh, delicious and plentiful food. A special thanks I would like to reserve for our driver on the first day, Ivan. A kind, professional and super punctual guy, he explained many things to us as if he were a guide himself. He made the first-day experience truly unique. Another special thanks goes to Emirach, our guide during the entire safari. Commendable professionalism, surprising friendliness and calmness. He is one of those people who puts you at ease. It was a fantastic experience seeing so many animals and driving through the diverse landscapes. The food was delicious! The second night was quite an adventure. We were in the middle of nowhere in the Serengeti, where we could hear the lions from our tent. A crazy experience, but you have to be comfortable with the basic sanitary facilities. We had three great days in tarangire, manyara and ngorongoro, our guides gioel and nixon were great. we had good food spotted many animals and they were very kind in moving plans for us because of a change of plan. We will never forgive this Super experience and singing jambojambo with Joel!

Absolutely worth every penny

Looved my safari. Payed $1050 for 6 days and 5 nights so make sure you don't pay more than that:) Our guide was really well informed about all the scenery, animals and so on. Our cook always made me smile, I miss him already. Since we went at the beginning of the dry season we didn't get to see any leopards or cheetahs and I slept very poorly some nights but in the car I could catch up a bit at some "boring" points. Had an amazing group of people and we even saw the great migration on the way to Serengeti. You can always ask them to go to the places you want to go to most. Be aware: you have to pay upfront since they need the money for accommodation + entry fees. You won't get scammed (or at least I didn't). I was in a small high season and already found it quite busy (there are so many cars around the big cats sometimes) so make sure you prepare for that, or go during low season (high season is typically June through October) Absolutely loved and will carry memories for the rest of my life!
