The best time to visit Kazuma Pan National Park is September through November, when dry-season conditions concentrate elephant, buffalo, and other wildlife around remaining water. Visitors may see elephant, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, sable, roan, tsessebe, wildebeest, eland, gemsbok, reedbuck, lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena, and white rhinoceros. The park supports several major African predators and large herbivores, but sightings vary sharply with water levels and seasonal movement between Zimbabwe and Botswana.

Drive from the Robins Camp/Pandamatenga turn-off on the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls road. Check in at Matetsi, continue along the gravel Pandamatenga road, complete border-area checks at Pandamatenga, and then drive about 25 km to Kazuma Pan. Victoria Falls Airport is the practical air gateway, followed by a roughly two-hour road transfer, although travelers should confirm current road and border conditions.

Kazuma Pan can suit families with older children who are comfortable with long gravel-road transfers, basic camping, and remote conditions. It is less suitable for young children because the park is unfenced, medical services are distant, roads are rough, and wildlife may move close to campsites.
