Friendly, courteous, reliable, professional and enabled us to enjoy our Safari trip to the fullest.

We had a fantastic time on our Safari trip with White Plains Safari. Joseph was very courteous and ensured we saw various animals and birds and wanted us to be able to make the most of our vacation. He took us around effortlessly naming all the lovely animals and birds we saw and he was kind, responsible, professional and very friendly! We absolutely loved Salt Lick Safari Lodge in Taita Hills Conservancy. It was a gem of a find! We saw lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, gazelles and lots of other animals and exotic birds through our Safari trip to Amboseli, Taita Hills, Tsavo East and Tsavo West! We were stunned and amazed by the wonderful people we met along the way and the wonderful service we received from White Plains Safari. We will definitely return to Kenya soon again!

I have been on many safaris and this one was the best so far. Josephs took us to 3 national parks and a conservancy - Amboseli, Tsavo West, Tsavo East and Taita Hills conservancy. The variety of animals and birds we saw was incredible and Joseph was a fabulous guide explaining each and every single one, taking the time to answer all of our questions as we are avid safari fans. He was very patient with the children as well and really made their safari experience exhilarating. Joseph would give us as much time as we wanted to see the animals and was very flexible on timing departure from hotels depending on the itinerary for the day. On our last day of safari, we came across a pair of mating lions at around 8.30am and Joseph gave us a full hour to observe, take pictures and videos and be mesmerised. It was literally a private screening with no other tourist vehicles and felt magical! A memory for a lifetime and all thanks to Joseph/Whiteplains for making this possible!

Fantastic safari!!

We organized a 3 day safari in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. It was an extraordinary experience, we saw so many animals in a unique natural context. Joseph proved himself very prepared, knows the parks perfectly and is a very nice and helpful person! Unforgettable trip!!

We spent a seven day safari in Kenya with White Plains Safaris and can highly recommend them. Our driver and guide Joseph took us to the most beautiful places in the national parks where we could observe the animals in peace. He gave us as much time as we wanted for photographing and enjoying. Thanks to his very great knowledge of the diverse wildlife, we were able to learn a lot about the animals in Africa. During the seven days we were on the road with Joseph, we could learn a lot about Kenya, the people and the life. The many conversations during the trip were a great enrichment. This beautiful safari and getting to know Joseph will remain in our memories for a long time.

Fantastic safari company

Highly recommended! Joseph created a fantastic, customized tour for my family. He listened to our many criteria and put together a wonderful package. He was always available and very responsive. Since we were on a safari that utilized flights within Kenya, there was no opportunity to enjoy Joseph's company (as others have commented). However, he made it a point to come to the airport at the start of our adventure and make sure we were all set. This was a small gesture that epitomized his character (I don't think this would have happened with a large tour provider).

Exceptional, professional and very pleasant Safari Guide

Our recent trip to the Masai Mara, Serengeti and Amboseli in November 2023 in Kenya and Tanzania was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to our exceptional safari guide Joseph Mwangi from White Plains Safaris. From the moment we met Joseph at the Hotel in Nairobi, our guide's expertise and passion for wildlife and the environment was obvious. His keen eye and expert tracking skills led us to incredible wildlife sightings, including the Big Five, and his passion for conservation and the preservation of Kenya's natural beauty was truly inspiring. Joseph's warm and friendly personality made our journey even more enjoyable, as he shared captivating stories about the animals and local culture. His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our safety and comfort throughout the trip were commendable. Joseph played a pivotal role in making our trip to the Masai Mara and Amboseli National Park an extraordinary and educational experience. He is extremely pleasant, very competent, and reliable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide to accompany us on this remarkable journey. In fact, we liked him so much that after spending another 12 days in South Africa and Zimbabwe on a second safari, we came back to Nairobi and hired him again for a one-day safari to the Nairobi National Park.

He's super knowledgeable, helpful and communicative and is an expert on all things safari. Would highly recommend planning a trip with him!

Awesome safari!

This was our first safari and such an unforgettable experience. Communication with Joseph, the tour operator, was quick and easy. The proposed itinerary he provided was informative and we were able to easily modify it before finalizing everything. We enjoyed all the places we stayed at and there was something unique about each one. The game drives were just wow (super sawa sawa!). The tour guides/drivers (John in Kenya and Rajam in Tanzania) put in a lot of effort in finding the animals at the top of our list (leopard, rhino, calves, as well as a cheetah hunt and the most awesome selfie with an elephant). Each game drive was unique. There were so many encounters that left us awestruck—we’re still ooh ahhh-ing over our pictures and processing everything we experienced. Joseph was with us for the whole trip; he was quite knowledgeable about birds, which was a bonus. He also assisted with logistics (providing documents quickly for visas needed prior to arrival, getting us through border crossings, arranging dinner reservations at a restaurant we wanted to go to prior to taking us to the airport). This was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had and we have White Plains Safaris to thank for that. They are reliable, prompt, friendly, and well worth the money.

He was very nice, attentive and had a lot of information regarding the Safari and Kenya.

It was a beautiful experience, the staff was very nice, helpful, and the service was good. I felt that it was a bit expensive in regards of the value for money and the food wasn’t too great in my opinion. The tour was absolutely amazing and it’s an experience that I highly recommend.

Went on 3 trips with Joesph- safari in Nairobi National park, Masai Mara & customised day outing around Nairobi. Joesph’s extremely patient in terms of dealing with our culturally-diverse group. You can observe how passionate he’s about taking us to explore nature and human resource of his own country. Even I, as non-animal lover, became so fascinated with the beauty of nature and wild animals through him. On my last day, he’s flexible and designed a special iternery upon my requests- taking me to stroll around Ngong town, hike on Ngong hills & dine in a BBQ garden like a local - a life-time memory! Joesph’s the best guide if you’d like to explore Kenya & learn more about its people, culture and nature. Fantastic time with a reliable and friendly team

We were in Kenya for 2 weeks for a university field trip and I could not recommend White Plains Safaris enough- we were with Joseph for the full 2 weeks and had a fantastic time. Absolutely Amazing!

I began planning our trip to Uganda and Kenya a year ago. Joseph was always extremely courteous, personable and prompt from our initial contact to leaving Africa to head back to the US. Joseph went out of his way for my husband and I so many times, I have lost count. Everything I asked for he arranged and it all went flawlessly.
