June-October (long dry season) and January-February (short dry season) offer the best wildlife visibility and road conditions. By road: Drive 230 km (4-5 hours) from Nairobi via Emali, or take the shorter Nairobi-Namanga-Amboseli route via the Kenya-Tanzania border. Fuel up in Kimana, Namanga, or Emali before entering—no fuel stations exist inside the park. By air: Fly 45 minutes from Wilson Airport (Nairobi) to Amboseli Airstrip (charter flights). Kilimanjaro International Airport (Tanzania) is 80 km away via Namanga border crossing. Most safaris include road transfers from Nairobi or flight arrangements.
