Fantastic trip

It was our first safari and this company did not disappoint. The people were so great at making sure all of our needs were met. The booking agent Edward was responsive and went out of his way to accommodate us. The driver/guide Jackson was fabulous and told us so much so much about the parks and the animals. Great value for our money, we did the mid range and it was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Best Kenya experience so far! Travelled solo with the guides to Mount Kenya for five days. Made the summit twice on day 3 and 4. Cook and porter service was superb, guide was extremely friendly and supportive. Budget friendly travel too! Highly recommend!

Amazing trip with an amazing operator.

I was apprehensive at first as I never usually use tour booking agents. It started as a quote on a website, moved to emails and then was finalised via WhatsApp. I had not a lot in terms of what you would call "official" confirmation of booking. And everything was communicated via WhatsApp. This being said. It was amazing. Everything that was planned went ahead and we had the most amazing experience. We stayed at Voi safari lodge and Ngutuni safari lodge in Tsavo east. The second night of our planned lodge was changed due to unforseen circumstances but we was accomodated with what can only be described as an upgrade. It was truly magical. We was lucky enough to see many families of elephants, we saw girrafe and buffalo, we was also lucky enough se a pride lions eating a buffalo. Definitely something we will never forget. One thing to be noted and the only reason they did not receive 5 star is the payment was requested in USD cash. This in it self is not an issue, though upon payment some of the bills had minor wear and tear, such as nicks and cuts on the edges. It was brought to our attention that any bills under a certain year and any that were too heavily used would not be accepted by Kenyan banks. If I didn't have a few spare bills to use as tips this could have had major detrimental effects on the trip. This needs to be communicated prior to arrival as I could have asked the bank for fresh bills. The agent in Kenya told me this happens often, so why not notify me to stop the issue happening.

A safari that exceeded my expectations

We did a 7-day safari (Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli) with Africa Magical Scenery Tours and Safaris and we are thrilled to have chosen them. They exceeded our expectations in terms of the safaris, the service and the accommodations. We loved the itinerary and the fact that they offered other activities that made it more varied than other safaris we have done. On the safaris, our guide, Martin, always made sure we saw the highlights of each place, and he absolutely succeeded. His jokes also made it even more fun. Furthermore, the service at the office was excellent. And finally, all the accommodations were amazing and well-located. An unforgettable experience. I would definitely go on another safari with them.

My experience with Africa Magical Scenery Tours and Safaris was truly exceptional from start to finish. Communication was clear, prompt, and friendly: they were always available to answer my questions and made sure every detail of the trip was well organized. The service during the safari was excellent: the guide was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wildlife and landscapes. Everything ran smoothly, and I always felt safe and well looked after. In terms of value for money, the experience exceeded my expectations. The accommodation, the jeep, and the tour were all good, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced between adventure and comfort.

Great tour - great guide - but some extra charges

We did a 7 day tour through Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate and Amboseli and we loved the tour - because of the amazing nature and our amazing guide Boni. He really went out of his way to make everybody’s wishes come true and give us the best experience! If we come again, we would absolutely love to come with him again!! Thank you so much! The tour was great also, the national parks are very different and we managed to see so many different animals, just be aware that they are quite far apart and traffic is not moving too fast here … the one thing we would suggest is to actually tell the prize for “extra activities”, that are kinda included in the plan though, and for expected tips (!!!) in advance… we were informed only upon departure, that a tip of 1000KES per person per day is suggested for the guide and also many activities (Lake Naivasha island, Masai village, hells gate tour, walk in Amboseli) and some meals (2x 500 KES pP) were not included - it would have just been very nice to know these things in advance as there is no ATM in the Parks obviously (Boni found an ATM for us though). The accommodations were all good, although we have changed our first accommodation at Masai Mara and slept at Rhino tourist camp instead. All in all it was a great experience (especially on that budget) though. We would vote 4.5 stars but it doesn’t exist ;) If the extra charges (or "suggested tips") would have been pointed out ahead, as we travel on a budget... - it would have been 5 stars for us. Mind we changed first accomodation. Thank you to the team and the guide!

It was a wonderful trip, and I'm so grateful for the help from the driver and other tourists. The driver was very friendly and hardworking; he took me to see almost all the animals I wanted to see. Along the way, he helped many people in need, including cars stuck in the mud and vehicles that had stalled. This touched me deeply, and I slightly regretted not tipping him more. Wonderful and unique experience

We absolutely loved our 6 day safari! Everything went so smoothly and the whole experience was really well and professionally organized. It was also very good value for money. We saw so many amazing places and of course the animals were the highlight of the trip. All the accommodations were cozy and the food was really good (always good options for vegetarians as well). A special thanks to our driver Bonny and Suzzy from the office! Your service was more than what we could have asked for :)

Great tour, well organized

I die a Safari for 7 days as a solo traveler. (Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli) Everything was perfectly fine. I had to change the Jeep ones which i didn‘t mind for the cheap price. One night i stayed at one hotel, while the rest of the group stayed at another which felt a little lonely. Also you have to make sure the hotels know about special diets, cause even though i told them, sometimes i got the wrong food. Apart from that it was a great Trip with great memories!

I took a 6 day safari to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuro and Amboseli. I saw 4/5 of big five. I enjoyed Safari so much. This company is a very good choice to make a tour. I would say that it an excellent company. The client is a queen or a king. Suzzy in the office is very warm and trustful. It was pleasure to meet her. Bony, the driver and the guide. Always ready to help. Smiling young man, who always is saying that he is here to make sure that the client is satisfied. I recommend this company from my pure heart.

Everything was great! Our driver, Titus, was amazing and always did his best to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. The highlight was witnessing lions catching their prey in the Maasai Mara — an unforgettable experience. The accommodations were absolutely fine, and I have no complaints at all. Susan also did a fantastic job with the organization; everything was handled smoothly and easily. Thank you for an amazing safari tour!

Best safari I’ve ever done

The experiencia is absolutely reliable about timing, very well organised. The diferent places of accomodation are very comfy, even the camps. The food is also very nice. About the safari, is the best i have done. Not only we could Enjoy diferent activities (trekking with animals, cycling, a walk in canoe…), but the safari itself ley is see a lot of animals and very near. Our guide Martin is a Great guide, lesding to us to see the animals near but being redpectful to them in every moment, and keeping us safe too. Martin is a fun driver too! The whole experience is totally reccomendable

Suzzy and their team worked very hard to make every second of my safari perfect. I could always feel well taken care of and any request would always be satisfied. Everything went according to plans and communication was always smooth. The drivers were amazing, verg skilled and also they educated me so thouroughly on the animals and their habitat, which was an added value. Great safari...incredible guide...terrible accomodations.

Our family, parents and four children, chose to go with this safari due to their good communication and their package looked very similar to other budget safaris. The agency does a good job communicating and I felt they were very honest about prices and surcharges they would need to pass on to the client (for instance 5% if you use a credit card). They sent us with a great guide, Mike was his name, and the vehicle for travel was ideal as it was a Land Cruiser with even some modern conveniences like USB charging (sorry, no air conditioning). Somethings cannot be helped, but we spent the first half day of our tour in the heat of a gas station trying to fix the land cruiser. Thankfully the breakdown had not been too far out of Nairobi and we were still able to get parts and still make it to Masai Mara where we arrived at the tent camp greeted by the host in the dark. They apologized for the black out in electricity and said the generator would operate from 7 PM to 5 AM. Again, this is to be expected for Africa. What is not to be expected is that they had no towels for us and no hot water. After a long day sitting at a gas station and eating dust during the travel, you want a shower. Unfortunately on our second day returning the hostess said again they did not have any towels that were dry, however, unbeknownst to her one of the other workers had kept us back some but we didn't receive those until the few of us had already showered and used sheets to dry off with. In general I could never recommend this tent camp. It was run by young people who kept disco music blaring at full volume. When people go on Safari, they want to be in tune with nature and even have some places outside to sit, read, or observe the incredible scenery that can be found only in this unique part of the world. You will not find such peace at camp Miti Mindi. The redeeming part of this trip was our day of Safari. We were able to observe four of the big five at close range. Our guide was great with the family and children; I certainly wouldn't blame him for the accommodation problems. We saw both a recent lion and leopard kill, as well as lions mating! One thing to be prepared for is that the package says that you can visit in Mosai Village but they charge 10 pounds per person. We opted NOT to do this part of the journey due to this unforeseen extra cost. So I gave the trip an average rating but our full day safari would have gotten "exceptional." If magical safaris can choose their tent camps better, this budget safari will be exceptional as well.

Overall my experience in a 4-Day Tour with Africa Magical Scenery Tours was good in terms of what was expected. To see and share wild life with animals is a unique experience! Also the driver/guide drove excellent on the road. Although, the second day of the tour my guide was confused and did not know that I was going to Nakuru with the rest of the group, then he sorted it out. The third day I could not enjoy the partial game tour it was supposed to be because the guide did not want to, or perhaps because of a lack of coordination. That day our guide made me feel bad for taking some pictures in a few specific points such as the Mara National Park main entrance, cos “it was a problem to take me there”, I still wonder why that’s a problem when it comes to feed the tourist curiosity and enrichen the experience. Last but not least, Next time I would rather hire a guide who has eagerness and initiative to explain about Kenian culture, curiosities and interesting facts about wild animals.
