The Experience of Lifetime

My nine days with African Beast Safaris and its founder, Simon, were the most beautiful and profound travel experiences of my life. Simon is not only a very personable, friendly, and fun person to be with, but he’s also well-organized and quick in solving challenges and making well-informed decisions. His choices of local guides were perfect. All the men who took me through my nine-day journey were fantastic and knowledgeable. They knew the history of the land and the nature surrounding it well. Traveling as a single woman, I felt safe and well cared for. Simon picked me up from the Victoria Falls airport. He took me to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, where I stayed for three nights. I took the sunset cruise on the Zambezi River while watching hippo families floating in the river and crocodiles resting on the banks. The following two days I spent on a safari and hiking along the impressive Victoria Falls. I also learned from my guide about the various rituals of the Tonga people who reside in the surroundings of the Falls. Three days later, Simon drove me with expertise through the expressway full of holes to Hwange National Park, where I stayed for two nights at Geango Heritage Resort. I spent two days on Safaris, seeing many animals, including elephants, hyenas, lions, painted dogs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, wildebeests, and many kinds of other antelopes, learning from my guides about the animals and their habits. The last three nights I spent at Matobo Hill, first at Big Cave Camp and Larer at Matobo Hill Lodge. . OMG, this landscape is not to be believed! The granite mountains were created 2 billion years ago, and since then, time has corroded them and turned them into beautiful abstract sculptures I have to say that nature is the most creative artist. The Bushmen living there in the past were artists, too. Many caves are filled with rock art that may be up to 18 thousand years old. I took hikes to two of them. On the way, we were fortunate to encounter white rhinos. We also stopped at small settlements and talked to the residents. My guides spoke all the local languages. The caves with the rock art are a spiritual experience that is almost impossible to describe in words. One has to be there to feel and experience the profound beauty of art and time. Simon created an exquisite trip for me. The people I met on the way were kind, generous, and knowledgeable. I wish all my friends could book a journey guided by Simon and African Beast Safaris. It was that good!

Simon and Lion were very nice and kindly. They made all the things easy for us.

We did some activities with them. The sunset cruise, the village tour, Chobe safari... Everything was as we agreed. They were very punctual and pacient with us. They have a very competitive prices. Simon showed us the typical life in the town and we were able to enjoy a traditional lunch with the local people From our expirence we recomend a lot to do the Chobe's safari. We've seen a lot of animals in a amazing place.

Fantastic, Great Service and Value Chobe Day Trip

This was the least expensive Chobe National Park Day trip from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe that I came across, but it was a total winner! The communication ahead of time and pick up was all done with efficiency and friendliness. The border crossing into Botswana was made easy. The morning boat safari on the Chobe River was awesome. We saw more than 100 buffalo, many hippos, Impalas, crocodiles, and more. The lunch buffet at the posh Chobe Safari lounge was absolutely first class. The afternoon driving safari showed us more than 100 elephants, Kudu, giraffes, wart hogs, Impala, and hippos. The company does a Five Star job and you end up with a beautiful African safari experience!

Very kind person！

This company and the tour guide are very kind person! Our group was delayed for one day because of visa issues, which resulted in our entire itinerary being changed. The company was willing to accommodate us in changing our travel dates without requiring us to pay anymore for other already booked . Really a nice person I have never seen.

GREAT CHOBE SAFARI

AFRICA BEAST SAFARI picked us up at the hotel at the appointed time. Simon and Daniel are very friendly. The safari at CHOBE PARK was fantastic on land and on the river. Admission to the park was included in the price. The lunch, which was included in the package, was excellent. Anyway, excellent services provided.

Fabulous Full Day Safari

We were based in Victoria Falls for our week and wanted to include a day at Hwange National Park. Simon was very easy to deal with and arranged for us to be collected at our Vic Falls hotel at 0600 and our driver Liberty was there on time with a very comfortable car. Only one other person joined the two of us which was much appreciated as we had requested a small group. Liberty was a great driver and had good conversation.We met our guides on arrival at 0900 and the three of us transferred to the jeep. Within 10 minutes we saw lions, one male, two females. Just before lunch we were the only group to spot a leopard. We followed and watched him for about twenty minutes until he went up a tree and late on in the day went back to the same space the guide had marked and watched him again, still hunting. It was a long day but a great safari, seeing blue wildebeest, hippos, crocodiles and a wonderful scene at the waterhole of elephants bathing and drinking late afternoon. Very smooth journey home for 8 p.m. A bit later than scheduled, but only because Liberty stopped at the Painted Dog rehab centre so we could view two dogs they had there recovering from a lion attack. A very memorable day!

We only had a short amount of time in Victoria falls region, so we went with Simon and Africa Beast Safaris to visit Chobe National Park for a day trip. Simon was incredible and he made it incredibly easy and enjoyable to cross over to Botswana and experience both a land tour via an open air 4x4 and also a boat tour on the Chobe river. All of our guides on both of those excursions were amazing. On the 4x4 tour we saw lions, lots of antelope, lots of elephants, water buffalo and more. The boat tour was what our family enjoyed the most. It was incredible getting up close and personal with hippos, giant crocs, elephants, birds and buffalo. We would highly recommend this tour. Plus lunch was amazing!

The guide's hospitality and dedication to service were impressive

The safari tour was incredibly enjoyable, allowing us to observe many elephants, hippos, and other wildlife. I learned that in early March, the thick bush makes it quite difficult to spot lions and leopards. However, our guide seemed to know exactly where the lions might be resting and spent a great deal of time searching through the dense vegetation. To my surprise, after tirelessly navigating through countless bushes, the guide managed to spot a lion’s paw barely visible in the depths of the bush and pointed it out to us. Although we were unable to witness the majestic presence of lions or leopards in full view, even catching a glimpse of a paw was a unique and valuable experience. If I have another opportunity, I would love to visit again during the winter season.

Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) Experience

We were in Vic Falls on a business trip and while having some time off we decided to do some sightseeing. The hotel recommended that we contact Simon, the owner of Africa Beast Safaris. Simon was very knowledgeable in listening to our requests and recommending what he thought would fit our schedule and suit our likes. We ended up booking a sunset cruise and he picked us up in person from the hotel, having us at the boat ahead of time to book the best seats in the house. We had a wonderful experience and wouldn't think twice about booking another trip with Simon when visiting Vic Falls next time. Africa Beast Safaris comes highly recommended, thank you Simon.

Excellent experiences across 3 countries!

Simon organised for us the Zambesi sunset Cruise, the day trip at Chobe in Botswana, a rhino walking safari in Zambia and the transfer from the Vic Falls airport. Everything was excellent and absolutely aligned with the agreed plan...simply unforgettable! Simon is pleasant, reliable and professional, Africa Beast Safaris is strongly recommended!

Reliable, organized, fun! just on point!

Me and my family organized the trip to Vic Falls with Africa Beast Safari, and Simon was so helpful since moment one. He would answer all my endless question and was always available to give me a quick call to answer them! Once in the Falls they took charge of everything! His team was super nice with us, they drove us around to buy some stuff, showing us around! They took charge of driving us to the border of Botswana, where another car was waiting for us. We really didnt have to worry about anything, and it was great! I would definitely recommend to travel with them!

Best experience of a lifetime!!

From the pick up and drop off at the airport our two week vacation with Africa Beast could not have been more perfect! We saw and did everything we wanted to see. Simon and team were flexible to our changing needs and were always spot on time and provided everything we wanted (and more). I absolutely love this company and their employees! We had the best scouts for finding all the animals we hoped to encounter, we had an amazing experience camping in the bush (which was fabulous despite my original concerns of camping at my age (58)). Exekent tour operator.

I traveled with my son and we had a great time. Accomodation and food was great. The game drive in Hwange was something to remember. And if we needed something We just tell Simon and he Will fix it. Thank you Simon for a great trip.
