I did a 2 days Safari with Kihindo. The communication via WhatsApp was very well and they managed to customize the tour so it fitted very well to my Tanzania holidays. I felt all the way from Daressalaam to the park very safe and comfortable. Our tour guide Danford was very professional and friendly. I can really recommend!

We brought up 2 people whose vehicle had broken down (with our permission) they told us they had seen more animals in 1 hour with us than the day before all day with the driver of their big agency. If you’re thinking about booking a safari in Tanzania — do it with this company. I honestly don’t even know where to start because everything was absolutely perfect from day one. First of all, a huge thanks to Winnie, who organized the entire trip. From the very beginning, communication was smooth, friendly, and professional. Winnie somehow managed to understand exactly what we were looking for — even without meeting us! And not only that, I even got 4 different specific offers (with day by day itinerary) about the safari options and she was insanely understanding and helpful. When I mentioned I really wanted to see lions, she suggested swapping parks and going to Ruaha instead of Mikumi and i was really grateful for that. Best decision ever! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place more beautiful and raw than Ruaha. The accommodation she arranged was unforgettable. Sleeping in an open hut by the river, falling asleep to the sounds of hippos and lions — that’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. And the lodge up in the hills? Way beyond anything I expected — stunning views, incredible food, and such a peaceful atmosphere. Now, about our guides — Willy and K.P. Master— I can’t praise them enough! Willy did most of the driving and I felt completely safe the entire time, even on the bumpiest roads. K.P. has the eyes of a hawk and no animal could hide from him! Thanks to them, we spotted 4 out of the Big 5 within just a few hours of out first day in Mikumi, plus so many other animals I never imagined seeing up close. But what truly made them special was more than just their guiding skills. They were always full of energy (despite waking up super early every day), kind, open, and so knowledgeable, not just about wildlife, but also about Tanzanian culture, daily life, and traditions. We had amazing conversations comparing life in Tanzania and Slovenia, and I learned so much more than I expected. This wasn’t just a safari, it was a full experience that touched every sense and left me with memories (and stories) for a lifetime. If you’re still deciding who to book with this is your sign. Book with them. You won’t regret it.

My experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris exceeded all my expectations. Winnie made the booking process seamless with clear instructions and updates on everything before my tour started! Juhudi was hands down the best driver, teaching me new Swahili words and sharing his love of local music! When I arrived at Mikumi, Saloniki and Jona were amazing and we were lucky enough to see absolutely every animal on my list! Saloniki was full of facts and couldn't do enough to make sure I had a great time! Would highly recommend this experience if you want a seamless and fun-filled way to explore Tanzanian nature. 10/10!

Amazing safari experience with the nicest team!

My colleague and I did 2days-1night tour with Kihindo Tours. Micheal, our tour guide, is no doubt one of the nicest people ever! He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions with his smiley face, explained to us a lot about Tanzania and the Tanzanian culture, and of course showed us all the animals we hoped to see. We got so lucky and were able to see lions (even a hunting one), elephants, giraffes, crocodile, hippos,.. and even a leopard! We definitely feel very very lucky to have Micheal as our tour guide! Winnie had been so nice throughout the whole before-after the tour process. She helped us a lot during the booking, always checked on us if everything was okay during the safari. She even met us at our hotel at 4am when the car came to pick us up! Peter drove us back to our hotel in Dar Es Salaam. It was really interesting to talk to him as we learned a lot from him about the Tanzanian culture, families, music, etc. Overall, we highly recommend Kihindo Tours! Very comfortable and friendly service!

My friends and I booked with Kihindo Tours and Safaris, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The safari with our guide, Danfort, was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. His deep knowledge of the animals made the journey truly enriching, and we learned so much from him. This trip exceeded all my expectations: from the Masai village tour to the safari itself, our amazing driver who picked us up at the hotel, the fascinating conversations with locals around the fire, and the delicious breakfasts and dinners. We were especially touched by the female staff who welcomed us back from each tour with open arms, singing and dancing with us. It created such a warm and joyful atmosphere. Winnie was so helpful going above and beyond to make the organisation and start of the trip incredibly easy, including speedy communication, airport transfers, hotel recommendations, last minute activities and getting a sim card no stress at all. All of the team were very welcoming, caring and knowledgeable on a wide range of topics. Isaya anticipated every comfort and made journeys laidback and interesting. Godfrey was a great guide on safari, adapting to our wishes and finding great spots to see the unbelievable wildlife. The landscape of Mikumi National Park is well worth a visit and we were lucky to see lots of elephants and lions. It is also more accessible than other parks in the rainy seasons. The included accommodation at Camp Bastian was luxurious, comfortable and clean and there was a wide range of delicious food served at the buffets. I cannot recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris enough! You can really rely on them to have a trip of a lifetime.

My extended family and I went on 2 separate trips with Kihindo Tours & Safaris. The first was with some family members who were visiting Tanzania and the other was with Tanzanian residents. We planned both safaris fairly last minute... but Kihindo was absolutely the best choice to go for, here's why: 1. Isaya's communication was phenomenal. He was very quick to answer all my questions and responded to my ever-changing requests for packages. Even the night before we went on Safari, I had a last-minute request and he quickly helped us to get it sorted. During both tours, Isaya also regularly checked to ensure everything was going well. 2. The safaris were very affordable. I did a bit of shopping around and I can say without a doubt that Kihindo Tours & Safaris provided the best value for money. 3. The tours themselves were absolutely fantastic. We all had a great time seeing all the animals and the stunning landscape. The tours were also child and baby friendly (with a car seat provided upon request). We were provided with all we needed - food, drinks, music, etc... and our guide frequently asked us if we needed anything. The hotels we stayed at were also comfortable and spacious. 4. Our guide Mdee was fantastic!!! He was very knowledgeable, safety-conscious, friendly and entertaining. He ensured we were comfortable and that we had all we needed. He was also quick to solve any problems that came up which showed resilience and professionalism. Overall we all had a FANTASTIC experience and look forward to more safaris and tours with them. We would highly recommend Kihindo Tours & Safaris to anyone looking to tour Tanzania!
