A wonderful once in a lifetime experience to remember!

We had a wonderful time on the safari and are truly grateful to both you and Johnson for making it such a memorable experience. The accommodation was excellent, and we were particularly impressed with the chef and the overall level of service throughout our stay. Everything was handled with great care and attention. If we may offer a couple of small suggestions for future improvement: time management on the first day could be looked at, as we spent quite a bit of time locating the hotel, which meant lunch wasn’t ready upon arrival and caused a delay in the afternoon game drive. Similarly, on the final day, we arrived in Arusha quite early and had to wait at a coffee shop for some time before heading to the airport. Perhaps a slightly later departure or extended time on the game drive could be considered. Also, while Johnson was very kind and hospitable, we felt there could have been more in-depth commentary during the safari about the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and the wildlife. Most of the information shared was fairly general, and we would have appreciated a bit more detail and storytelling throughout. It also would have been a nice touch if he had offered to take a few more photos of us proactively during the trip. That said, these are only minor points within what was an overall fantastic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our safari and will certainly recommend your services to our friends and family.

My experience with King Mufasa Expeditions was excellent from start to finish. The communication before the trip was clear, prompt, and professional, which immediately gave me confidence in their service. Every question I had was answered quickly, and I always felt well-informed and supported in the planning stage. During the tour itself, the service was outstanding. Everything was well-organized, from the pick-ups and transfers to the accommodations and daily activities. The team paid attention to detail and made sure the whole group was comfortable throughout the journey. Amazing, well worth it!

Booked a 3 day luxury safari experience with King Mufasa Expeditions. Right from the start they were in constant contact and always available. Their time keeping was impeccable. They arranged taxi and flights to and from the airport leaving us to enjoy the safari experience. Our guide, Kelvin ‘Pablo’ was brilliant, so informative and if he didn’t know he’d find out on the tour. The tour was so well planned out the guide kept to the itinerary, making sure we made most of each day. The accommodation on each night was so good, first in the forest and then glammed in the Serengeti itself. We managed to see the big 5 along with 35 other species. David our tour organiser did a superb job providing an experience of a life time. Thank you so much.

From start to finish, the communication and service were exceptional, very clear, responsive, and reassuring at every stage, which made the entire experience feel seamless and reliable. The tour itself exceeded all of our expectations. We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five, and witnessing calving season was truly life changing, seeing mothers with their babies, including a rhino and her calf, was incredibly moving and showed how well the conservancies are protecting these animals. Our guide Kelvin was outstanding: deeply knowledgeable about the land, wildlife, and nature, with an impressive understanding of animal behavior, history, and cultural context. He constantly shared insights that enriched every drive and made the experience feel meaningful rather than just observational. The lodges were unforgettable in their own way. Each stay felt special, with Ndutu standing out in particular for its excellent service, fantastic food, and truly amazing atmosphere, 100% good vibes. Considering the quality of the guiding, accommodations, and overall experience, the value for money was exceptional. I would recommend this tour to anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind safari that is almost impossible to put into words. It left us deeply connected to nature and very grateful to the people who made this journey possible - again a huge shoutout to Kelvin!!!

I had an amazing trip with King Mufasa Expeditions, and everything was great from start to finish. The planning was smooth, communication was clear, and everything happened exactly as promised. Our guide, Calvin (Pablo), was excellent very knowledgeable, friendly, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying the safari. He knew the parks very well and helped us see so much wildlife. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend King Mufasa Expeditions to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

Very nice guide and perfect planification

We had an absolutely unforgettable experience on our safari through Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater! Despite it being the rainy season, the weather was surprisingly pleasant, allowing us to enjoy every moment to the fullest. We were lucky to see an incredible variety of wildlife—elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes—an amazing spectacle of nature. Our guide was outstanding: incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and always attentive. He added so much value to the trip with his insights and ability to spot animals we would have easily missed. The planning by the organizer was flawless—everything from the transfers to the accommodations and meals was perfectly arranged, making the entire journey smooth and worry-free. One of the highlights was our visit to a Maasai village, where we received a warm welcome and were treated to their traditional welcome dance. It was a beautiful and authentic cultural experience that made the trip even more special. A truly magical adventure that we would highly recommend to anyone!

Nice combination of parks and animals. The day in tarangire was very long but if you finish the day with a dip in the pool and a meal it's all good. 'Drinks included' is limited, drinks at the hotel were not included.

Wonderful wildlife Adventure for adults and children

We had a 3 days safari organized by King Mufasa Expedition with the amazing guide Lidnev in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro National Parks with a 7 yo child. It was a wonderful adventure driving through wild nature with all the comforts where we had the chance to see manu species of Animals, included the big five. Our guide Lidnev was really the plus of this safari telling us history of the places, habits of the animals and being really careful of our needs, including those of our child and being always positive and warm! We slept in very comfortable lodge and had meny hot and taste meals. Absolutely recommended!

The best operator for the safari

My wife and I wanted to do safari on our honeymoon and we chose « King Mufasa expéditions » to do 2 days trip to visit Tarangire and nhorongoro parks. We were in good hand, the experience beyond the expected ! The pick up from hotels was in time, the explanations very clear about the program during the excursion. Well organized Safari

Everything was well organized and we felt safe all the time (maybe except for the night time when lions roared next to our tent ;-)). The lodges were as luxurious as promised. Our driver Marco was very friendly. Food on the game drive could have been bit better (other guides brought total sets with pots with them). Overall, King Mufasa provided the best price performance ratio compared to other tour operators.

Best Holiday Experience Ever!!!

It was our 10th wedding anniversary we found King Mufasa Expeditions through Safaribooking.com. I liaised with the company regarding the details of the trip and at every step of the way they went above and beyond to make our experience special. We booked a 2 day safari flying from, and back to Zanzibar. On arrival in Arusha airport we were greeted by them. The tyre covers at the back of the 4x4 were personalised with a lovely picture of us and anniversary message. Our driver and safari guide Manfred made us feel more than welcome. He was knowledgeable of all the animals and an amazing driver. He even became our personal photographer a few times on the trip! The whole trip was organised amazingly with no hiccups, even though we had a flat tire on safari the 2nd day which Manfred had no issue fixing it. The accommodation (Escarpment Luxury Lodge) was lovely, from the room, to the view of lake manyara from the main building. We also was given a uniquely African anniversary celebration at dinner, it was the highlight of our stay. Only issue was the flight back to Zanzibar with Precision Air. The flight was delayed by an over an hour with no information on the boards. Had to ask the attendants for more information a few times receiving little info. They served nuts to passengers on the plane and my wife has a mild nut allergy she had a slight reaction of hives. I would suggest asking not to use Precision Air if you are booking this safari. Flightlink & Air Tanzania are better airlines. The safari experience itself an 11 out of 10 overall!

Our Safari guide Marco was amazing, not only experienced and knowledgable as a guide, but kind, caring and hugely empathic to our children, Marco made the experience exceptional for us as a family of 5, with our youngest aged 5. Caring and quick to respond

Davis responded to my messages immediately and made sure we were kept up to date with the journey. He was even there to meet us personally at the Arusha airport when we arrived from Zanzibar. We were on a two-day safari (Tarangire + Ngorongoro Crater). Especially the guide/jeep driver in Tarangire was very competent and gave us a lot of details about the park and the animals. Both drivers also listened well to our wishes and ensured that our safari experience was of high quality.

A Dream Safari

It’s always been my dream to witness a river crossing and see wildlife up close, and I am so grateful that King Mufasa Expeditions and our amazing guide Omary made it happen! Far beyond any expectations in Tarangire, Ndutu & Ngorogoro. The best guide ever. Big 5, and more.

We went on a 4 day safari in December 2025. I booked the trip far in advance (spring 2025). From the get go, King Mufasa expeditions were incredibly helpful in constructing my itinerary and reworking it many times over the fit perfectly with the rest of our journey and our hopes for the safari. They gave me such a sense of comfort in having made the right decision all along and were extremely fast in communication whenever I had questions before departure. They arranged for both pick up and drop off on Zanzibar, pick up in stone town and drop off in jambiani which was very appreciated. Now to the safari; the only negative part of this adventure is that I am afraid that it has ruined any future safari trips for us. I had high expectations and this trip exceeded all of them by a lot. I don’t think it’s possible to have a better experience than what we had. Kelvin, our guide, was not only a fantastically talented guide, he is also an amazing person. If you are not lucky enough to have him as your guide, I hope you at least get the chance to meet him. It felt like we were in the car with our friend as he engaged in conversation with us around cultural aspects of the region, the Masai, his experiences being a guide and what he was looking for as we drove around Tarangire, Ndutu/ Serengeti and Ngorogoro. At the start of our journey, everyone was doubtful I would be able to see my favourite animal, the rhino. They (friends at home and locals) said we would be lucky to see a few of the big 5. We saw them all. Including 3 rhinos (one of them a cub), several leopards (one of which feasting on a gazelle), two lions on a honeymoon, a several cheetahs (one of which with 5 cubs), hyenas, jackals and all other usual suspects. All thanks to our fantastic guide Kelvin!
