Amboseli National Park is world-renowned for its large elephant herds, and you'll have excellent opportunities to observe them in their natural habitat. Beyond elephants, you can expect to see lions, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, hyenas, and over 400 bird species. Wildlife viewing is highly reliable year-round, making this an excellent choice for animal encounters.
Absolutely. While longer safaris offer more flexibility, three focused days in Amboseli provide substantial wildlife encounters and a genuine safari experience. The park's relatively compact size and concentrated game viewing areas mean you'll maximize your time in the field with early morning and late afternoon game drives positioned to witness natural animal behaviors.
The package includes all park entrance fees, accommodation as per the itinerary, three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), a private 4x4 safari vehicle with a professional English-speaking guide, bottled water during game drives, airport transfers, and government taxes and VAT. This comprehensive inclusion ensures excellent value for your investment.
Not included are international airfare, travel insurance, visa fees, alcoholic beverages, tips and gratuities for guides and staff, and personal expenses. We recommend budgeting for these items separately and considering travel insurance for peace of mind during your journey.
The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) offer optimal wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources, making sightings more frequent and reliable. However, the park is rewarding year-round, so you can plan your visit based on your schedule while still enjoying excellent wildlife encounters.
Mid-range luxury accommodations offer comfortable, well-appointed lodges with quality amenities that provide excellent value without the premium price tag of ultra-luxury options. You'll enjoy a good balance of comfort and accessibility, allowing you to maximize your time in the field while still having a pleasant place to rest and relax.
Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend checking with the safari operator or consulting your country's official travel guidelines and Kenya's immigration website for current visa requirements, processing times, and any necessary documentation before booking your safari.
