Manyoni Private Game Reserve has no park entry fee; costs depend entirely on accommodation and activities. Luxury lodges range from R10,570–R15,000+ per person per night (approximately $570–$850 USD), including twice-daily guided game drives, meals, and most beverages. Budget-friendly options like Rhino Sands Safari Camp start around R11,340 per person per night. A typical 3-night safari costs $1,700–$2,550 per person (all-inclusive). Self-catering is not permitted; all visitors must book through a lodge or safari operator.

The best time is May to September (dry season), when temperatures drop to 15–22°C, wildlife congregates at waterholes, and vegetation is sparse, offering exceptional Big Five sightings. June to August is peak season with the most comfortable weather. December to March (wet season) brings lush landscapes, migratory birds, and lower prices, but afternoon thunderstorms reduce visibility. Avoid November and April due to high humidity and unpredictable weather. Rhino sightings are year-round, with highest success rates during dry months.

Manyoni is home to all Big Five: black rhino, white rhino, lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. The reserve also hosts African wild dog, cheetah, hippopotamus, giraffe, kudu, nyala, suni, and over 400 bird species including African Fish Eagle and crowned crane. A unique draw is the pangolin rescue and rehabilitation program. Sightings are excellent year-round, with cheetah particularly prolific on open plains and leopard common in rocky hillsides and dense bush.

Fly into Richards Bay International Airport (RCB, 90 km away), Durban's King Shaka International Airport (DUR, 300 km), or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA, 280 km). From Durban, drive 6–7 hours; from Richards Bay, 4–5 hours; from Hluhluwe, 3–4 hours. Most lodges arrange road transfers from major airports or can arrange charter flights. The reserve is accessible by road year-round, though gravel roads require a 4WD vehicle.
