Naankuse is located 42 km east of Windhoek, accessible via the paved B1 highway in a 30–45 minute drive from the city center. Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) is 30 km southwest; most visitors fly into Windhoek and arrange ground transfers or self-drive rental vehicles. Charter flights from Windhoek to the sanctuary are available through regional operators. The final access road is graded gravel, passable year-round in standard 2WD vehicles.
