This is no ordinary tour company. I had a truly wonderful experience. The communication skills are great. I was a happy tour goer since our meet up location had been communicated in advance and was on time. The safari tour services are just the best. They meet all the customers needs with so much passion and professionalism. Tour guide had good knowledge of the local with so much planned facts and statistics and also brought in own knowledge and personal experiences. WHAT A WONDERFUL TRIP! WHAT AN EXITING EXPERIENCE!

My wife and I recently in November/ December 2019 took a 19 day trip to Kenya and Tanzania, arranged with Across the Wild Tours and Safaris in Kenya. We managed our safari with Fina, the Tour Manager, who was very supportive and always accommodative to our trip adjustments which was amended too many times but she was always flexible to that and kudos to her she was never tire to give directions and try to do the amendments for us. Everything went superbly. We were met by Fina on our Landing to JKIA- in Nairobi and driver/ guide Kevin who eventually became our best surprise during the tour in Kenya and Eventually Ikamba who took us on the Tanzania tour. We flew into Nairobi late at night, actually at 1 am,and Fina was there waiting for our arrival and spent the night at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in Nairobi. The following morning we then were driven and guided to three permanent tented camps in private conservancies: Sanctuary Olonana Camp, The Cliff Luxury Camp in Nakuru, and Porini Amboselli Camp. The tented camps were wonderful. The Masai warriors who direct, serve, guard and guided us at the camps took good care of us. Their warmth, knowledge of English, and caring attitude made us feel welcomed and very comfortable in our stays. We saw animals and their lives up close and personal. My wife took literally thousands of photos. We crossed into Tanzania at Namanga, and were met by Ikamba who was our next driver/guide. For our whole time in Tanzania, to whom we were in the capable, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny hands of a well-known guide. He drove us all over Tanzania, visiting Lake Manyara, NgoroNgoro Conservation Area, the Serengeti, and the drive down into the crater itself, then Tarangire National Park. What a wonderful trip. There were too many highlights to tell about, with Across The Wild tours and Safaris, we were always secure and always learning something new and always kept in touch with us it was good experience. It was a really great experience we had and I would definitely recommend this tour operator for anyone who intends to have a trip of a lifetime their services are up notch and I can’t recommend less, you guys are doing a great job. Once again thank you Fina for always being flexible with our demands and lots of questions.

WHAT Q GREQT TIME WE HAD......AMAZING TOUR!!!!!

My mother and i just came back from a wonderful Kenya and Tanzania safari and we had the best time of our life on the Safari with Across The Wild Tours & Safaris. The game viewing exceeded our expectations thanks to Patrick and we saw the big five and many more animals and birds, the smaller creatures just as interesting as the larger, we learnt about them and so much more from our guides. The lodges we stayed in were all high quality and in beautiful locations. We felt very safe throughout the safari and were well taken care of by our guide and the staff at the office. We also took part in the Balloon Ride safari in Masai Mara and the experience of watching the animals from the sky was awesome. We also had a chance to visit the masai village and interact with the local people there. I highly recommend this company to anyone planning an African safari to East Africa more especially Kenya and Tanzania.

Well organized and executed

Fina from Across the Wild was very friendly and responsive. She helped with our special requests and she had to quote multiple times based on the frequent changes we requested. Our Tour Guide Mr. Patrick was very knowledgeable about the wilderness and he took us to various nook and corners of Masai Mara so that we we witnessed some of the amazing wild events. It would not have been a fun trip without him. We visited Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Amboseli. It was a life time experience to see all the wild animals in their natural habitat. Overall we were happy with the service provided by Across the Wild Tour operators. A truly memorable experience !!!

Across the Wild Tours & Safaris offers a great experience at a good value

Operator was planned but flexible. They customized our itinerary and were able to weave in a couple extras like boat ride and hot air balloon. Reachable and responsive throughout our time in Africa. Assigned us a very happy, knowledgeable, courteous, articulate driver who aimed to please. David delivered every committed game drive, sunset, sightings and everything else we asked of him. Accommodations felt safe and all staff were super friendly and helpful. Only 2 things were not ideal for us: 1) food. Most certainly good quality and tasty, but we are not adventuresome eaters and craved PB&J or a hamburger; restaurant bar and staff were great! 2) beat the clock. sometimes we needed a kick in the pants at a roadside shop or lunch to avoid having to make up for lost time or risk being too late for entry to a park, for example. I would recommend across the Wild Tours & Safaris. Do your homework to set expectations. Enjoy the experience of a lifetime.

Across the Wild Safaris and Fina are wonderful!

We did a second safari with Across the Wild in August 2022 on our first post-COVID trip to Kenya. We had an absolutely marvelous time. Fina was absolutely wonderful in attending to every detail in planning our safari experience and assuring that it was perfect. We stayed at Serena lodges, which were ideal. Our guide, Dedan, was superb, and all in all, we had one of our best safari experiences that we have ever had. We explored different parts of the Masai Mara than we had previously and had wonderful observations of all of the animals, including a river crossing by wildebeests and zebras (patience and keen observation by Dedan really paid off!) We are already planning our next safari adventure with Across the Wild when we hope to return next year.

We had the best time!

We had the best time on our Safari. We chose the suggested package which presented a great cross section of experiences and lodgings. Every single day was full of adventure! The gem in the Safari crown; our guides. I feel like we have two new wonderful friends. It wasn’t just that they couldn’t have been kinder but daily the wealth of knowledge they shared was jaw dropping. We learned so much. And, talk about eagle eyes! Wow! They could see what we could not. It was amazing. Now that our time in Kenya has come to an end, we all now have a severe case of game drive safari withdrawal. No doubt, the bug has bitten. We are already planning our return in 2024! Well done across the Wild!

Amazing and Unforgettable 7 Day Safari at Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater

My girlfriend and I went on a 7 day safari at Masa Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater with Across The Wild Tours & Safaris and had such an amazing and unforgettable experience (and got free safari hats). It all started with the booking of the safari. Fina was absolutely amazing. She was so accommodating and easy to work with throughout the entire booking process. She paid attention to every detail of the booking and responded quickly to any of my questions. It was a pleasure working with her during the booking process. She was top notch. The accommodations at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge, Kati Kati Tented Camp, and Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, which included breakfast and dinner buffets and packed lunches were great. My favorite was the Kati Kati Tented Camp. It was such an awesome experience camping in the Serengeti. The food was terrific and the staff were absolutely amazing. For the Masai Mara part of the safari, our guide was Kevin and for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater part of the safari, our guide was Ekemba. Both of them were awesome. They both were very knowledgeable about the wildlife and went out of there way to make us feel comfortable and to accommodate all our needs. They always made sure that we got the perfect angle for all of our photos. They both had a great sense of humor and were fun to be around. We saw the Big 5 in addition to cheetahs during our safari. We saw over 50 lions and over 10 cheetahs, most of which were very close to us. Kevin was very patient throughout the safari and his motto was "be patient." He even waited in one spot for us for 3 hours so we could see up close an old male lion, which finally came out of the bushes to get some water. My nickname for Kevin was "patience". We even saw up close the "Fantastic 5" with Kevin, which were 5 cheetahs that were brothers. Ekemba was so great at spotting the wildlife and knew where to locate all of the wildlife in the park. It was like he had a sixth sense in locating the wildlife. My nickname for Ekemba was "eagle eye." We saw up close with Ekemba a pride of over 10 male, female, and baby lions just lying around. We also saw up close with Ekemba 5 lions that were brothers. Kevin and Ekemba did a superb job in making this safari a truly memorable experience. They both are top notch guides. I would 100% recommend Across the Wild Tours & Safaris and make sure to ask for Kevin and Ekemba, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Fina, Kevin, and Ekemba.

Best Safari experience in Kenya

Myself and my partner had the most amazing safari experience. Our trip started in Masai Mara and went through all the main Kenyan national parks (Amboseli, Naivasha, Tsavo East and Tsavo West) travelling towards the coast to finally reach Diani Beach (right place to relax after 8 days of safari). Fina organized every detail so that we could stay in the best resorts and enjoy the experience stress-free. Apart from spending the nights right inside the reserves, making the commuting time very short, the resorts were elegant and unique, merging perfectly with the surroundings. Everything was planned just for the two of us and according to our needs and preferences. The hotel service was always impeccable and Fina was constantly checking on us to make sure that all was running smoothly. David was just the perfect guide for this trip. He was able to spot all sort of animals (we spot 4 of the big five in one day!) at any time and from very far away. He was able to bring us in the right spot at the right time, furthermore he explained a lot about animals and wildlife. Travelling with him was one of our favourite aspect of the safari as he also thought us a lot about Kenyan history and culture. We could not be more satisfied and cannot wait to organize another trip with them!

In all the years of travel, I've never continue to think and most of dream about the vacation like I do now. This safari has given me an everlasting WOW. Fina has always been extremely responsive with emails in great detail. The drivers & guides were fun, knowledgeable and experienced. We ALWAYS felt safe regardless of the locations. Our game drives, sundown and everything in between were awesome. I will tell you that our land cruiser was spacious and comfortable. We had driven through it all and never doubted it. A patient tour operator who truly listens and stays unperturbed through multiple iterations

We all enjoyed our 9D/8N Kenyan safari with "Across the Wild" team and our guide Tony Kitusa. He was a wonderful driver and guide and gave us tons of information, not just about the game parks and safari but also about the country especially how Kenya produced top notch log distance runners/athletes year after year. At Lake Nakuru, it initially appeared as if he was in a hurry to rush the safari because he kept going in spite of us asking him to stop to take pics of pelicans. However, within 15 min, his game plan was revealed to us and we realized how blessed we were to have the right guide. His goal was to ensure we spotted the Big Five during our kenyan safari and in Lake Nakuru it was the Rhino. Tony always ensured we magically got to just the right spot before the animals appeared, and it's amazing how knowledgeable he is about all the plants, animals and geography of all the game reserves . Fina Urio from Across the Wild was very easy to work with and all the arrangements went smoothly. Our accommodations were excellent, especially Kongoni, Lake Naivasha; Outspan, nyeri and Jambo @Masai Mara. I would very highly recommend Fina and Tony to be your Travel planner and guide for a hasslefree Kenyan holiday.

The best safari company in Kenya.

From the first contact with Fina I knew we were in good hands. Every idea and change to our itinerary was immediately dealt with. Whatever day of the week, Fina came straight back with the answers. Then when we arrived in Nairobi she was there in person to meet us - a really great welcome ! She then introduced us to David our driver guide for the week. Where do I start ? Not only was he the friendliest, nicest man with a great sense of humour ( he needed it to cope with mine) you could wish to meet, but nothing was too much trouble for him, including finding a lost bag at the airport on the first day. I think he knows - and is friends - with everyone in Kenya ! He made our week magical, visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara, before returning to Nairobi. His enthusiasm was infectious and our three grandchildren rated it their best holiday ever ! We saw every animal - including of course the big five - many times. We only had to say to him what we wanted to see and miraculously they appeared a few minutes later ! I cannot speak highly enough of Across The Wild Tours, Fina and David. We could not have had a better trip, and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone booking a trip to Kenya. We can’t wait to repeat the experience with our next lot of grandchildren.

Perfect performance and communication

I have no comparison to other operators, but in my opinion it was a really good tour. The owner Fina is patient and is willing to find the right trip for the prospective customer and his budget. I made many adjustments and Fina always replied prompt. Really thankful for that! Also my driver Steve was really ambitious. He was always motivated and looked to the left and the right to spot animals. Without him I wouldnt have seen all these animals. He has eyes as an eagle :). Much appreciated the tour although it was rather expensive. It was worth it.

Excellent full day excursion

I had booked this tour after in depth back and forth inquiries and settled on with Across the Wild Tours and Safaris,. it was a perfect idea I must say having had a full day of fun to Elephants center, giraffe center and Bomas of Kenya for cultural showdown and also mountain trekking in which was splendid in Tanzania Our driver was friendly and we felt well treated. OUR EASTER VACATION WELL SPENT IN KENYA

I must say it was a great time I had over in Kenya, my girlfriend and I had to Join together with a family of of 3 to have our good time together in a joined trip across Kenya, it was actually easy since the other family still came from PNG and we were cool together, I appreciate the tireless effort and to and from communications from their tour operator Fina who was always on time to respond to our queries at any one given moment since the start of this trip back at home and all the way to Kenya and back she was always in touch to our many questions asked and never lacked an alternative to make our trip great, their tour operator was also very well conversant with the topography and the environment around us he would guide us through explain to us what we anticipate and always willing to go an extra mile to make it good. I also want to point out that even through email conversation Across the Wild tours and safaris also provided us with a mobile phone with Kenyan number and talk time and so we could keep in touch with them just in case their is need, despite the fact that we didn't use the cell phone to call back since our trip was great we appreciated the gesture that they could go to such great lengths to make us feel at home out of home, thank you so much across the Wild tours and safaris for your great hosting us we sure will visit again anytime we have to come to east Africa we are confident of using your services again, keep up the good services and BRAVO!!!

My safari experience was absolutely incredible! From our arrival to Nairobi to our last day in Masai Mara as well as the pre-planning before our departure, everything was fantastic. Our guide, Dedan, was phenomenal. He took a true leadership role and explained to us about the animals, safari etiquette, etc. Plus, he is impeccable at spotting animals. The BEST! Every moment exceeded expectations from planning to trip end

Across the Wild I just had the most incredible safari and game viewing experience with Across the Wild Safaris. I booked my trip last minute and went with a local outfitter based in Nairobi based on positive reviews.There were 2 of us (both well traveled females) and we were well taken of from the moment we arrived until our adventure ended. We visited 3 parks in a week. We had a van (not land cruiser) and boy were we happy! We did ride in one land cruiser a few hours on the way to a balloon ride and we were so comfortable in the van. Our professional tour guide, Joseph. We appreciated the little tips and advice he gave us throughout our stay about the country and wildlife. He made sure we understood what we were experiencing and does not break the rules. Across the Wild guides have walkie talkies so they can stay on top of the wildlife to help find the elusive leopard, pride of lions or cheetahs. We witnessed other outfitters harassing wildlife by driving off road or pulling directly up to animals while making noises. A good guide does not do this. They are patient and do their best to take you to the animal habitats. Nature truly is unpredictable. Our trip was amazing. We witnessed all of the BIG FIVE in one day in Maasai Mari. We were flexible with our trip but went by the advice of the guide. Fina at Across the Wild made our trip! She was friendly and helpful. She knows her hotel product and set us up wonderfully to hotels that matched our needs. We did tour other hotels, and realize there is something for everyone. One thing, be prepared for the long day rides to parks. Some of our days averaged 6 hours of driving, then you Head out for a game ride. We could not be happier with our experience with Fina and the Across the Wild crew. We look forward to booking again with them really soon!
