Best decision to choose Kihindo Tours as our Tour Operator: Excellent service

First of all, thanks to Winnie - she did everything to make our tour unforgettable (smooth booking process, personal care via WhatsApp from beginning to end...) Our first driver Peter took us from Dar to the first stop where we changed the cars and we had the chance to taste very fresh roasted cashews & excellent coffee. Our personal highlight during the Safari was Isaya from Kihindo Tours. All in all we were more than satisfied with the handling. Everything just worked perfectly. Already on the outward journey from Dar to Camp Bastian we have sighted the first animals thanks to the good eyes of our guide. The accommodation was very comfortable. Also the food was very good, the service was excellent. The visit to the massai village was a unique experience as well as the safari on the second day. Isaya managed to get us ALL the animals living in the park in front of the camera and was always in a very good mood. Asante sana!

Very professional and attentive tour guide

Our tour guide Michael was extraordinary! He truly made this trip memorable. Not only was he funny and nice, but he was also very informative. We learned alot during our trip and its clear that Michael truly loves what he does. Although our trip was short (the two-day safari), Michael made sure we got to see all the animals. I would definitely recommend him as a tour guide!

Amazing Safari Experience

I had an amazing one-day safari with my friend. Everything was well organized, our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we saw so many animals elephants, giraffes, zebras, and even lions! The lunch was tasty and the whole day felt unforgettable. I highly recommend for a great safari experience in Tanzania.

Very kind and attentive to our needs.

All around an amazing experience. We didn't think we'd get to see so many animals. To our surprise we saw zebras, impalas, lions, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeast... etc and very up close to. The staff were very attentive to our needs and adapted their schedule to accommodate us. The tour guide gave us a lot information about the animals, cracked jokes with us and made the trip both knowledgeable and enjoyable. The price of the Safari was cheap compared to other big parks and the experience was unforgettable. We highly recommend booking this trip with Kihindo Tours, none of this would've been possible without Winnies help, who was available at all times to make this dream come true. Thank you !!!!!

Amazing experience

We had an amazing time with Kihindo safaris. We did the 3 day Selous reserve Safari. Our guide Francis was very knowledgable and accommodating. Everything about the trip was smooth start to finish. We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken straight to the safari. One thing to note is there was no Wi-Fi or hot water showers however this added to the bush experience. The food at the camp was amazing and we did not spend any more money whilst there. I would recommend getting your tour guide to take you to the village in the evening for a drink with the local people and experience the culture there. The boat Safari on day 1 was really good and the full games drive safari on day 2 was also really good. We saw lots of animals and our guide did everything to make sure we got the most out of the day. at the end of the trip Francis took us to the ferry port and ensured we safely booked and made it on time. Overall I am really happy with this Safari tour and I would highly recommend. Also, the communication beforehand was perfect and they will pick up and drop from wherever you need to be.

An experience you won't forget for the rest of your life!

The safari was a complete success from start to finish and worth every penny. The organization worked very well, we exchanged information in advance via WhatsApp. Our guide Godfrey and driver William are such cool and friendly people, it was an honor to meet them and spend the 3 days with them. Godfrey told us a lot of interesting facts about the animals and life in Tanzania. We saw so many animals during the Safari, absolutely stunning. Further, the accommodation was top and the food was good. I would recommend the safari to anyone else looking for adventure. Thank you for this experience, hope to see you again.

It’s was a great experience ! They answer to every need, they where on time, the 4x4 it’s in good conditions, our guide Danford was really a good guide, he answer all our questions, gave us really good information about all the animals, he was patience, so if you are thinking to take a safari and you love to learn more, take this safari ! :)

Mikumi & Udzungwa

From first contact to the the last day, this has been a very smooth experience. The safari started in Dar; drive to Mikumi, then Udzungwa, then back at Mikumi for two more days of game drives (total 4 nights), before going back to Dar and the Zanzibar ferry. Winnie's has been incredible in her prompt and communication, and in coordinating and tailoring the itinerary, even accommodating some very last minute changes with ease. The guide/driver team (John & Saloniki) and the transfer driver (Isaya) in the field have been similarly keen and a pleasure to be around! Genuinely, an excellent trip and team all around. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely faultless- perfection

We have been blown away by the experience we received using Kihindo! The communication from Philly through has been excellent. The value for money aswell we couldn’t believe!! We have experienced some unfortunate things during our travels across Africa in the past and we were so blown away by how amazing you all were. The logistics even when we changed our plans with our luggage, was managed excellently. All of your staff were so friendly and helpful and on time. Thank you to our driver who took us back to Dar- sorry we didn’t catch the name - with the Beard! And our safari guide Danford- he made our game drives so special, giving us lots of facts about the animals, searching for lions all over for us each day, even though we had spotted the big 5 on day 1! Excellent tours, amazing people and best value for money tour ever!

The communication with the kihindo team was excellent, they were all very helpful and polite, it made us wonder "how cone every single one of the company's employees be such a kind and good person??" Kihindo tours is definitely the best guide office we could book and we'll for sure use it again!! we totally recommend it for either one day or more day tours, it's the best out there by far!

Incredible!

Kihindo Tours was truly the best, from booking to drop off. Winnie and team ensured we had all the information needed and organised the safari tour to run smoothly. We literally didnt have to lift a finger, we were taken from the hotel to train station and then train station to Mikumi for the safari. Saloniki was a great tour guide, cheerful and passionate! Was very knowledge about the animals, Mikumi and the surrounding national parks. Food was great, very fresh! Got to see giraffes, hippos, monkeys, elephants and lions! I would strongly recommend Kihindo if you want an unforgettable experience! Many thanks to the Kihindo team!!

Amazing experience and service

We went on a 2-day safari with our amazing guide Gaston. We were picked up in our hotel in Dar Es Salaam and drove to Mikumi national park. On the way we had a few stops and got lunch on the way. We went for an afternoon game drive and were stunned by the park and all the animals we got to see in the short period of time we were there. We slept over in the national park and we were also here super positively surprised by the high quality of the rooms and service. The food was ok. The next morning we had a early morning game drive where we also were super lucky and got to see a lot of animals very close by. Our guide was very nice and a perfect fit for us. He told us some facts about the animals, but also allowed us to experience the wildlife in complete silence. The silence of the nature is what shook us the most! The sounds and views are truly amazing. For information, we saw lions, zebras, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, baboons, wildebeasts, elephants, birds, impalas and soooo on! We had an amazing trip and would 100% recommend KIHINDO Tours and Safaris to all our friends, and would love to come back one day!

Despite having only one day, this safari exceeded all my expectations. The organization was flawless, with everything running perfectly on time. The natural beauty was absolutely breathtaking, and I was thrilled to spot 4 out of the "Big Five"—buffalo, elephants, lions, and even a leopard. Since rhinos don't inhabit this national park, I actually saw 100% of the possible big game animals here! A huge thank you to my incredible guides, Saloniki and NP, who went above and beyond to make this experience truly unforgettable. They tailored the pace of the tour to match my ability to take in the overwhelming beauty around me. Saloniki shared his deep knowledge of wildlife with such passion—it was clear how much he loves his homeland. I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the magic of the African wilderness. An unforgettable experience

We recently went on a 5 day Safari excursion to Mikumi and Ruaha in Tanzania with Kihindo Tours & Safaris. We can confidently say this was the most surreal and exhilarating experiences of our lives. The organisation was seamless; Winnie was extremely helpful as she was the main point of contact even prior to our arrival. The Experience: Our adventure began from the moment we were picked up by our guide, William from our hotel in Dar Es Salaam in the morning and went on a 5-hour drive to Mikumi. We found the drive insightful as you get to see different parts of Tanzania and its rich culture. The Jeep itself was very comfortable and spacious, we had plenty of water to drink in the car and stopped half way on our journey for a delicious lunch (buffet style). We arrived in Mikumi in the afternoon and headed straight to the national park where we saw various animals such as lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants and antelopes! William was very knowledgable and very passionate about wildlife and welcomed our curious questions. We proceeded to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge the next day following an early morning drive around Mikumi National Park. We spent the whole of the next day in Ruaha National Park; this was by far our favourite experience as the park itself is one of the largest in the country. Our favourite part was that it felt completely untouched and less touristy. We would drive around for a long period without seeing other Safari Jeeps! We were very lucky too as we saw 4 of the big 5 in what felt like the most natural habitat. Being in what felt like the only ones amongst these majestic creatures along with the owe-filled-silences observing them is a memory that will stay with us forever. As you are looking out for the big 5, we would also recommend tuning in on the birds (there are over 500 bird species!) and we saw everything from eagles, vultures to the smallest kind with remarkable chirps. Additionally, the ecosystem is very diverse with savannahs, woodlands, river-systems and baobabs. Not only are the guides informative, they are also impressively attentive to afar animals! Accommodation: Kihindo Tours arranged our accommodations in Mikumi (Camp Bastien Mikumi) and Ruaha (Ruaha Hilltop Lodge). Camp Bastien was beautiful and had lovely cottage style accommodation, swimming pool and a large outdoor sitting area complete with a fire pit in the middle. It was a wonderful way to unwind following the Safaris. Ruaha Hilltop Lodge is perched on a hilltop and offers the most breathtaking panoramic scenery of Ruaha (national park included). The lodge had spacious bungalows and we had to walk up the hill to get to ours! You are escorted to and from your accommodation by a member of staff as they are separate from the main lounge, dining area. The lodges were beautiful, luxurious, comfortable and spacious. The staff were very kind and the food extremely delicious (all buffet style). Final Thought: This safari felt like a journey into nature that left us in awe of the beauty and complexity of wildlife. It is at a reasonable cost (cheaper than some of the safaris we looked into) for what is offered (pick up from and to hotels/airports, Safari excursions, meals, experienced guide for the duration of your journey etc). I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to connect with the great outdoors. Pack your walking shoes, comfortable clothing (including a jumper or 2 as the mornings and evenings are slightly chilly), camera and binoculars be prepared for the most extraordinary adventure!

Eric was so nice! All the Tour was really good organized.

We found the Kihindo Tours on Google and read a few rewievs about it and decide to book it. It was amazing! We landed in dar es Salaam and slept a Night in a Hostel Near By. In the Morning Eric our guide picked us up und droved us to the nyerere national Park. The Lodge was huge and lunch was directly Served. After that we had a boat Safari. The next day we started early in the Morning for the Game Drive. Lunchboxes were with us and we had always breakfast and Dinner! All of the staff from the Lodge were so nice and we really felt comfortable and they took good care of us! Everything was pretty good Organizee. Big big thanks to eric, he was so nice!
