Best Experience Ever!
The BEST experience. I was a little nervous at first about taking the train to Mikumi but it was completely seamless, clean, and well organized. The Safari experience with Damson itself was a day I will remember for the rest of my life and look back on fondly. We saw an amazing assortment of animals, including lions, elephants, giraffes and a wide variety of the flora as well. Damson has excellent scientific awareness and understanding of the local ecology and wildlife, and patiently explained extremely interesting details about everything. Also, as I was travelling solo, Damson deftly used the opportunity arising from the lack of noise and greater manoeuvrability to show me as much as possible; the highlight was being able to view the king of the pride at Mikumi, Kipara, at an arms length while he napped. Last but not least, I had an amazing time driving back and forth with Isaya - he was extremely knowledgeable about Tanzanian culture and economics, and all around capital fellow who is guaranteed to have an amazing future ahead of him. All the best for you and the company Isaya! Don’t forget us when you become a big business man!

Customers first, whatever comes, second and third"
Safari was an experience for a lifetime. We were asking for a lot of crazy things and they provided that for us in a heart beat. Literally we did not heard no to any request. They are super knowledgable about area and best local deals. I am still in touch with Isaya who is main tour guide and we have a good laughs. I will definitely come back to visit and see other tours around Tanzania. Local tribes were fun and enjoyable but maybe little pushy. But fun stories to hear from them as well.

Perfect and professional
Managed professionally , our hotel was little far from train station but they came to pickup us on time , staff (Guides, driver ….) are very helpful. Highly recommend.

Professional & Well organized
We booked a one-day safari to the Mikumi park from Daressalaam. From the start until the end everything was very well organized and worked out perfectly according to the plan. The communication with Pilly was very smooth and she was really helpful to accommodate our requests. Our guide Nuhu was very attentive and explained us a lot about the wildlife in the park. Our driver Isayah was also trying to make sure that we see as many animals as possible in one day. They were both very friendly. We had the impression that they value the nature and take their jobs seriously. I definitely recommend the Kihindo Tours for anyone who is searching for a professional and well organized safari.

Fantastic safari experience and great guide
My family took a three day safari with kihindo tours, we had an amazing time, isayah ( the business owner and our guide) went out of his way to make our trip an incredible experience. The safari itself was excellent, we saw elephants, lions giraffe etc, basically everything you could wish to see in mikumi, Isayah seemed to know exactly where to find the wildlife! The accommodation in camp bastion was lovely with a nice food , a pretty, clean swimming pool and our chalet was huge and well equipped. Isayah was so helpful, our airline lost our bags and he helped us sort it out and at the end of our trip he helped us get ferry tickets to zanzibar and even helped us board the boat I was concerned initially about booking a safari online but I can highly recommend kihindo safaris , and have no regrets that I took a chance and booked with a small independent company Best trip ever with an outstanding guide

This tour was fantastic!
We saw so many amazing animals (often very close!), and Danfort was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He shared facts about each animal and seemed to know exactly where to find all the animals! We were lucky to see many elephants, giraffes, and lions! This was a fantastic tour, and we had an amazing day!

Exceptional
The whole experience from pick up to the incredible stay at the lodge was great. The game drive at Mikumi National Park with Danford was amazing. He shared his knowledge about the wildlife and answered all our questions we had. The whole staff from the driver, the masai and the staff at the lodge made sure that we were well taken care of. So I would highly recommend them:)

The most gentle and flexible guides
We felt safe and comfortable from the very first moment that William, our safari guide, picked us up at our hotel. Also Isaya has been very kind in helping us before arriving in Tanzania! We booked a 3 days safari but although the shortness of trip, the tour operators made the unpossible to let us see all the animals in one game drive only! Specifically William was super friendly and helped us with everything unrelated with the tour.. we call him as a friend by now.. thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

Very knowledgeable, accommodatinh and made our experience worth remembering
We had a very good experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. The quote is very worth it - transfer, accommodiation, itinerary, and the driver himself. Michael made sure our journey is very worth it. He is very engaging to describe our tour starting from the city, regions, tribe, streets, up to the safari park.

Great organization and amazing tour!
We chose the 3 days selous game in order to experience different aspects of the safari and it was great! Our guide was super kind and helped us for everything! The organization was efficient from the booking to the end of the adventure. The schedule time is perfect since you have enough time to do the experiences and also to relax in the lodge!

Professional handling and adherence to agreements.
You could tell that the guide loves what he does. He had a wealth of knowledge about the animals and was happy to share it.

Trains + Lions + Local Culture = Dream fulfilled!
This trip was the perfect fit for the limited time we had (2 days) on the Tanzanian mainland. The newly electrified railway from the Dar es Salaam to the new capital Dodoma is up to US/EU standards - clean, comfortable, and well-serviced (no power outlets, but complementary water and snacks). The view is gorgeous (if you don't fall asleep - the ride is quite smooth). Definitely a worthwhile experience for a train-lover. Our guide in the park was knowledgable and friendly. Mikumi National Park has a great density of animals -- we saw two prides of lions, dozens of giraffe, hundreds of Zebra and wildebeest, plus hippos, elephants, kudu, eland, warthogs, a crocodile, and a monitor lizard. You won't see rhinos (extinct in Tanzania), cheetahs (going to Serengeti for that), or leopards (rare), but all the other big famous wildlife are present. Great picture taking opportunities. The big advantage of booking a private safari is that you can decide how long to stay at a given spot (for instance, if this is your favorite animal) and can choose how long to stay in the park. In spite of our jetlag, we choose to spend nearly the entire day until sunset in the park, because the wildlife was so good. The nature walk and the visit to the Maasai village were also worthwhile. Though socially conscious travelers may feel uncomfortable taking part in the commodification of Maasai culture, particularly when you are encouraged to put on Maasai clothing yourselves and join in the dances, the villagers are clearly consenting to your visit and are paid (the visit only takes up 30-60 minutes anyway and does not seem particularly disruptive). The tour guide for the nature walk was himself a Maasai who grew up in the city and received a higher education -- he gave us a valuable perspective on the Maasai and Tanzania overall. The Kihindo Tours office staff were helpful and communicative throughout our booking a visit. They helped up find a hotel last minute and contact the manager, since we had forgotten to book something for the night after the tour. On the whole, this was a terrific company to work with.

Passionate
Kihindo tours are good value for money with a door-door transfer service. The Communication with the booking team is easy and straightforward (asante Pilly). We travelled from Dar Es Salam to Nyerere national Park and returned for a 3 day tour, our guide Abel was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we weren't able to see any African Wild Dogs as they had recently left the area but there are plenty of other incredible African safari animals to spot and the landscape within the park is beautiful and unique.

Super fast on every request
The tour with them was perfect, everything went good from the organization to all the single people and guides we met. Unfortunately the train on the way back stopped due to electricity problem but that is not their fault and they provided us the transportation at the time of our delayed arrival. Thank you!
