Best safari ever!

This safari was one of the best experiences we ever had and we are very happy, that we chose kihindo safaris. It first started with the organisation of "Winnie" who helped us and answered our questions at any time of the day. She explained everything in detail and organized our trip perfectly. When we got there we were greeted by our excellent guide called "William" who was with us the whole 4 days. You could see that he has fun doing his job and could literally answer every single question we had. He always made sure, that we were happy and tried to make the drives as exciting as possible. We can really recommend the whole organization and the trip to everyone who wants to be part of a safari! And if you decide to book a safari, ask for William!

Amazing day!

We had a one day safari to Mikumi national park and we loved it. The communication with winnie before and after the safari was also very good. The tourguide ask us what we love to see to make sure that we see that that day. he explained everything and answered our questions. it was a super beautiful day and we saw many animals that we wanted to see! i would definitely book by kihindo again.

Our stay in Mloka was absolutely wonderful. The boat safari offered a unique and interesting perspective on the local nature, while the visit to the Masai Boma Village was a truly authentic and enriching experience. The highlight, however, was the game drive, made perfect by our incredible driver, Marufu. With great dedication and professionalism, he went above and beyond to ensure we saw a magnificent array of animals, making the entire experience truly unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this safari to anyone looking for a comprehensive and impeccably organized adventure!

A trip to remember

We were a group of 11 and we had Gaston, Godfrey and William as guides with us. We had lots of fun hunting wild animals in the Mikumi national park. The hole trip was full of smiles laughter and good vibes. We came back with so much good memories. The organisation was perfect from the beginning to the end. Best Safari experience

Make this tour with Kihindo was undoubtedly a great choice! From the beginning, Winnie provided us with all the information we needed to choose the option that best suited our expectations. We experienced flight delays, lost our luggage, and they were not only always waiting for us but also helped us recover them (calling the airport, etc.). In other words, they went above and beyond their duties, which we greatly appreciated, especially in an unfamiliar country with a different language. We were taken to Mikumi Park by Michael and Meshack, who were both very helpful. As for the Safari, it was absolutely incredible. The guides Saloniki and Danfort knew how to identify important details so we could see as many animals as possible (lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, warthog Pumba, etc.). We really only have thanks to give and highly recommend the experience. Special thanks to Winnie, who was always always available.

King of Safari

We went to Nyrere and Mikumi National parks and both were great but Nyrere was my favourite because it was so dense with animals and looked more like Safaris in the movies and even exceeded my expectations. Btw I am not sure if we missed any animals, because we saw it all, even leopard which are difficult to spot. We had an unforgettable Safari experience thanks to our guide William. The experience was so great that we named him Sir William King of Safari and even bought him a crown to thank him for our incredible memories he was a part of :D William was patient with all of our needs and wishes, ghought us a lot about Tanzanian culture, animals and Africa overall. Communication with all of the staff that we got in contact with was nice and respectful, they took great care of us. Definitely recommend the company and will book it for future trips. Very happy with our holiday!

Great safari, even BETTER GUIDE!

We have just been dropped off at the airport by our amazing Safari Guide after an incredible 3 days in Nyerere National Park. We booked this trip only 2 days before arriving from Zanzibar, the prompt responses and communication (1am request & response) is why we chose this company, we received outstanding service before arriving for our safari, and altered the itinerary to suit our desires no problem at all. The safari itself was incredible, such beautiful scenery, incredible wildlife, and quite often the only vehicle driving in much of the national park, which was amazing! Our guide/driver's name was Michael (highly suggest you request), he was so knowledgable and went off-road driving in difficult conditions due to previous rains, to try find the animals we were keen to find. We felt so safe around the wildlife and on the roads in his hands. We only had 3 days with him which waa a shame as he quickly became a good friend. But we will sure be back and 100% be choosing this company and Michael for our future safaris, we recommend you do the same! Thank you so much Michael, Pilly and the rest of the team at Kihindo! 🙏

Very helpful and kind

First of all, thank Winnie the tour operator, who organised our trip and helped us, by telling us which safari should we do because they all have their own particularity and choose which one suits us more.The selection was perfect (Mikumi-Ruaha) because we saw a lot of animals and especially hippos and lions who are our favourites. Also, many thanks to our guides Michael and danford, who weren’t only our guides but we became good friends. The safari was fantastic but they made it for us much better, along the secret conversation we had while eating😂.In conclusion, it was once life time experience, I recommend everyone to go on a safari and preferably with Kihindo tours and especially with those 2 guides. An unforgettable experience!

We visited Tanzania with Kihindo Tours and Safaris in October 2023, and although it has taken us a while to write this review (life tends to get in the way of computer time!), we had to share our experience! Wonderful 1-day Mikumi Safari

Amazing experience!! Winnie, Saloniki, Adam and team took great care of us, the service was excellent. We got to see loads of elephants, lions, zebra, giraffe, etc. Highly recommend.

EXCELLENT SAFARI EXPERIENCE

We started on May looking for a travel agency to receive some quote for our private safari. We had done some other private safari in 2018 and 2019 in Tanzania visiting Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire but this time we would visit the parks of south of Tanzania. We received some quote from some agency but the first who wrote to us also a whatsapp and follow us in our request very rapid was Winnie from Kihindo Tours and Safaris. We asked a lot of changings to find the right compromise with our budget. When we reached the airport in Dar es salam we met Winnie and Willy (our Guide and driver) and we started for our private safari and at the beginig everithing went going well. First Park, Mikumi, second Ruaha, in the second park we got stuck for mud for 2 hour (it was small raining season) but our guide was very smart, keep calm and solved a problem with help of ranger's park. We changed our plan about the 3 park (Nyerere) because we knew that it was very difficult to drive during raining and mud. We asked to Winnie by whatsapp if was possibleto change plans and in a bit time we find the good solution to us, so we came back to Mikumi National park. It was the right choise, the safari was execellent, we saw a lot of animals and birds and our guide Willy was very smart and brilliant. We can say for sure Thanks to Willy if we saw a lot of animals, includind Lions and Leopards (that we Know are very very difficult to see) Thanks a lot to Kihindo, Winnie, Danfor and Willy. We can say for sure that if we came back to Tanzania, we already know wich will be our safari's agency. Thanks a lot Cristina and Stefano

You will not regret booking with Kihindo Tours and Safari's. The process of booking was smooth and communication swift. Met at the airport and seemless transfer to the safari park and dropped off at the ferry port once complete. The safari was excellent and more so our guide William made the trip that bit better. Very personable, warming and had a good knowledge of the animals that we saw which included lions, elphants and Water Buffalo. Great company, staffed by excellent, genuine people who make your trip so very special.

Superior communications,promptness, itinerary without surprises!

We have experienced travel to 79 countries BUT have never experienced a private excursion with so much content and organization! We were picked up at our hotel in Dar Es Salaam by Eddie right on time after being texted what to bring!(passport and all). Eddie (alias Honoratha Shirima) spoke excellent English and efficiently took us to train station right up to the customs agent! We rode the train to Morogora (good seats were provided)! We emerged outside to see a sign with our names and Meshack met us and escorted us to the Kihindo Tour Van. He was cheerful, English speaking, stopped on the way so we could enjoy the sights and baboons! He drove us the 1.5 hour trip to Mikumi National Park. And when we arrived he walked us over to a safari jeep where we were introduced to one of the most enthusiastic tour guides I have met! Nuhu Ismail is about 20 years of age and studied Wild Animals at the University! He had one more year of graduate work to do but you could feel his enthusiasm as soon as we met. He and his colleague drove us into the park and his English was flawless! His enthusiasm never ending! He showed us animals, followed a pride of lions so we could really capture their activities, had us watch a mother elephant nurse her infant talking the WHOLE time of the reproduction of pachyderms! Then we were treated to a wonderful buffet for lunch! He was so attentive and concerned about our comfort and service! After a beautiful lunch we spent many more hours exploring the park! He shared stories with us about medicinal use of plants in Africa! It was truthfully magical! This young man has so much potential I felt honored to be on this safari with him!( and we had already been on two other safaris! None that could beat this one!)! At 5 pm our ride to the train station appeared like clockwork! We rode back to DarEs Salaam quickly on the train! There was a huge chaotic crowd and we had taxi drivers accosting us to be their passengers. We were a little frantic when out of the crowd steps Eddie to escort us to his car! Pure joy to see a familiar face! What a day! Organized! No surprises! No hiccups! If you are thinking of a short memorable safari think Kihindo Tours and Safaris! I know you can’t select your drivers and escorts but if you can think of requesting Nuhu Ismail you will always be happy you did! But when traveling in this region we will always call Kihindo Tours and Safaris!
