KIHINDO Tours and Safari’s theme is “Dreams to Reality” and it is spot on! Our dreams became a possibility when during negotiations, staff Whinie was attentive to our goals and desires and proposed a plan that worked for our budget. We took a 3 days 2 nights Safari from Dar es Salaam to the Nyerere National park. Our guides William and Saloniki picked us up promptly in the morning in our hotel and at the end of our safari journey they brought us to the airport as requested. Day first consisted of driving 4.5 hours, we stopped for a bathroom break and to buy fruits for snacks. We had a tire malfunction that was quickly fixed by the guys, as they had two extra spare tires. We made it happily to our lodging where we were received by the kindest staff with a delicious and plentiful lunch. Lunch was pasta, chicken and salad. We brought snacks and soups in case the menu wasn’t to our liking but we never touched anything that we brought as all meals were delicious. During our stay we had steak, fruits, eggs, vegetables, chicken, crepes. Later we went on a boat Safari where we spotted birds, habitats and lots of active hippos. On Day two it was a full day of Game. We went into the park and spent the day seeing all the animals we wanted. One of the hardest to find could be the lions and we even encountered a lioness. Keep in mind they are wild animals and there’s no guarantee you’ll see them all but both guides knew what they were doing and what spots gave us the best chance. Guides were knowledgeable and made us feel safe at all times. We had a picnic lunch at the park. There are bathrooms also available. The vehicle allows you to sit or stand and the guide are very accommodating and helpful in taking your picture. Day three we had a walking tour with a guide Didi. From him we learned tons on tribe culture , plants and animals; even how to identify animals by their tracks and survival tips. Overall We have no negative points and would recommend this company and staff.

A beautiful day at Mikumi with our tour guide Godbless.

Yesterday we did a tour with our guide Godbless. He made jokes, sometimes started singing Lion King songs, showed interest and had a lot of knowledge about the animals. He also tries whenever possible to get close to the animals, where we got all the time to look calmly and take pictures. Because of the bumpy road, halfway through the day the gearbox broke, which was a shame, because we did lose some time. During lunch Godbless did everything to fix the car. Luckily he succeeded, so after lunch we could continue the safari! During this lunch there was also a nice surprise waiting for my birthday, thanks to Godbless and all the other staff of Mikumi Safari Park. We ended this special day at the hippos and crocodiles. It is definitely worth it, thank you for the nice day!

An unforgettable, seamless Mikumi safari with amazing wildlife and an incredible guide.

We booked a 2-day, 3-night safari with Kihindo Safari & Tours as part of our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible. We chose Mikumi National Park to stay close to the coast before continuing on to Zanzibar, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. From airport pickup, to the train drop-off, to the car pickup in Mikumi, and finally our safari transfers and game drives, everything was handled so smoothly. The team kept us informed the whole time and made traveling between locations effortless. The food in Mikumi was delicious, and we truly felt taken care of. We spent our first night at a newer lodge that’s still finding its footing — it’s nice, but it currently advertises itself as something a bit more polished than it truly is. For our second night, we stayed at Camp Bastian, and wow — it was amazing. No wonder the tour company recommended it! Our guide, Danford, was fantastic. He and the other guides stayed in communication throughout our game drives, which meant we were always able to quickly find wildlife. We saw a lion right after a wildebeest kill with her cubs, plus elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, monkeys, and warthogs. If you’re short on time but still want a wonderful safari experience in Tanzania, I highly recommend this tour and company. Worth every penny! It was the perfect start to our honeymoon and an experience we’ll never forget.

Perfectly organized, professional and funny trip

All in all, it was one of the best trips i have ever had. We did a three-days tour to Mikumi and it was perfectly organized from the booking until the end. Godfrey and William picked us up at our hotel in DarEsSalaam and after that we had a funny and very informative drive to mikumi. At the second day, the Safari, godfrey and William tried all their best to see a Lot of animals, and of course, we saw lots of different animals. Godfrey also gave us lots of Information about the animals, trees and enviornment. Willi and Gody were very punctual so helpful. So they booked and took us to the Ferry to zanzibar. The accomodation was a simple but very cozy. You have everything you need and you do Not spend lots of time there. All in all, i say thank you for everything and i highly recommend KIHINDO, Godfrey and William!

Amazing experience!

Our Safari Experience with Kihindo Tours was truly amazing. Winnies communication was very helpful from start to finish, she always was there to help and wanted to know what we thought about different things. Our guide William did everything he could do to give us a perfect experience. With his help we managed to have a look at most of the animals in the national parc. Our highlight were the sleeping lions. We can highly recommend travelling with Kihindo tours and safaris!

Amazing!

We were five students from Norway that took the day trip safari from Dar es Salaam. The travel to the park went very smoothly, and it was very easy to communicate with the people driving us places. When we got to the park, we met with the driver that would take us through the safari, and we could not be happier. Danford was an amazing guide, who gave lots of fun facts about the animals, he even went back to show the lions twice, cause we were so excited about it! In the park there are a lot of animals, and we got to see so many very close to us. This trip was definitely worth the money!

Amazing 3-day Safari in Nyerere Nationalpark

Me and my friend booked the 3-day safari in Nyerere (Selous) Nationalpark with a boat Safari, Game Drive and Walking Safari. The tour was amazing and we got the chance to see a lot of animals. We saw the 4 animals out of the Big Five, that are living in the Nationalpark. Out Tourguide Isaya was great, he knows the place really well and showed us so many animals, explained a lot about them and tried to give us an unique experience. Most of the time we were completely alone with the animals. Only for the lions, there were a lot of other cars, but that’s because everyone would love to see them so the guides communicate with eachother in case one finds them. The accommodation was great as well and everyone is super friendly. The food was really good, for the whole day game drive they gave us a lunch box, which was a full meal. To summarize, this tour is definitely worth it and I would book it again! Especially our tour guide Isaya was amazing and I would love to do a Safari with him again. You will see a lot of animals for sure, while not disturbing them too much.

Our Safari trip with William was fantastic and memorable. Its really worth it to spend 2 nights at Mikumi and 3 nights in Nyerere , to have time, appreciate the differents safaris, like walking Safari and boat Safari. Making our safari the best

We took a safari during low season, so there wore less animals and less turist. Our accommodation were nice, very quiet and relaxing and good food. The guide try very hard to show all the animals and we learn alot from the driver. Very nice experience!

Great Experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris in Mikumi National Park

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our Mikumi National Park safari, thanks to Michael, our exceptional guide and driver. He picked us up at the hotel where we were staying in Dar es Salaam and made sure we got back in time for our ferry to Zanzibar. Driving to the park was a great way to travel, as it allowed us to see the countryside and rural life along the way. Michael’s knowledge of the park, its wildlife, and the local ecosystem was truly impressive. He was patient and adjusted the pace of the tour to suit us, giving us plenty of time to take photographs and record videos of the animals. The park is rich in wildlife in every direction and is also home to a diverse range of birdlife. We were thrilled to spot three of the Big Five and plenty more animals. We also learned a lot from Michael about Tanzania and its cultures, and we enjoyed sharing stories from life back home. We truly appreciated his company during our safari and became good friends over the course of our trip. Winnie provided excellent support, answering all our questions promptly and ensuring the trip was well-planned. Her communication gave us confidence from start to finish.
