We saw rhinos, hippo, cheetahs, giraffes, lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, and many other animals while on vacation in Africa. With Kubwa Five Safaris, we felt safe traveling long distances and to rural areas. Our tour guide was fantastic. She showed us where to see animals and the best places to eat delicious African food. She was accommodating and made certain that we saw all of the animals we desired. Her advice and sense of humor made our vacation more enjoyable than we had anticipated. Kubwa Five Safaris made our vacation unforgettable. I would use this business again. For most, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience

Unforgettable Vacation

We were very pleased with the quality of the service we received from Kubwa Five Safaris. The company provided us with a comfortable, clean, and well equipped vehicle. The guides were always courteous and polite, and had excellent knowledge of the places we visited. Nothing was too much for them all, and they pampered to our every whim when we wanted to stop for pictures or comfort stops. We had a great experience. Excellent planning and communication

Kubwa Five Safaris created a custom plan for our exploration of the national parks in Rwanda and Uganda specifically to include trekking for gorillas (Rwanda) and chimps (Uganda). The pre and post communication was excellent, always responding to questions with helpful details. The selected lodging fit our budget and was comfortable and enjoyable. The company welcomed our suggestions, especially to add some detail regarding expectations for road travel in Uganda, as the roads are very rough in many places. We were happy with Kubwa Five Safaris’ service and highly recommend them to other travelers.

Excellent tour operator that truly delivers a thrilling Safari

Kubwa5 truly delivered a thrilling Safari of a lifetime! The Safari was everything we had every dreamed of as this had been a bucket list adventure trip we had wanted to take for many years. Kubwa5 was amazing to work with as I had so many questions before I ever booked the Safari and they answered every question in great detail. They were so professional and easy to work with from start to finish, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the company and highly recommend them. Our tour guides in Kenya and Tanzania, Tony and Alfa, were both so awesome and they truly made the trip even more special than we ever imagined it would be. Both guides took the time to position the vehicle for optimal viewing experience of the animals and were always checking in with us to make sure everything was okay. Both guides made the Safari even more special than we could have ever hoped for. The lodges, hotels and tented camps we stayed at were each different and unique and we absolutely loved every placed we stayed and the food was excellent. The tented camps are a must to experience while on Safari and they are well appointed and have everything you could possibly need. Although we wanted to experience all the animals in Kenya and Tanzania, for us it was not just about the animals as we wanted to experience the culture of both countries, everyone was so accommodating and made us feel at home. This Safari adventure allowed us to become a part of the African story and it will always be a part of us.

A very memorable trip

It is a very memorable trip for us and I think Joseph has us hooked to safaris. In fact we want to plan another safari trip with Kubwa Five Safaris. Our guide Joseph is very knowledgeable and experienced so we managed to learn the names of the variety of animals we spotted on our journey. Joseph also kept us safe and took good care of us during the trip. We will definitely be back in Africa and book with this company.

Great trip perfectly organised

Our trip around Namibia was booked through Kubwa Five Safaris, main contact was Sylvia (from their sister company Ompo Travel). Everything was organised perfectly, Sylvia listened to our needs and constantly adapted the trip according to our (many) changes of mind, to ensure we could get the best out of it, both in terms of things to do and accommodations where to stay; but she also added her local know-how to advise our decisions on what really worth seeing and what to skip (given the limited time of two weeks). She was also very responsive, both prior the trip as well as during the trip, taking immediate action if needed (only once, due to a misunderstanding on the check-out from a lodge). Namibia is an amazing place with plenty of wilderness and photo opportunities, and we have enjoyed it fully!

Trip of a lifetime!

Our first trip to sub-Saharan Africa was a once in a lifetime experience. We took a 20 day trip through Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. Uganda provided great diversity, with some wonderful big game experiences as well as unique experiences gorilla trekking (very tough effort but worth every bit) and chimpanzees (a couple notches down the toughness scale, but still a sweat inducing effort). We were able to cap it off with a wonderful stay on the Nile river for two nights with enough white water to provide some wonderful sleeping sounds! We then flew to Kenya. Starting first thing the next morning, we headed towards Maasai Mara for big game, especially big cats! We had a visit with a Maasai tribe, quite an experience. Many spectacular views, lots of hippos and pink flamingos than anyone could have thought existed. We finished with a drive to Tanzania to experience the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater. Lots of lions, wildebeest, zebras, and giraffe. Our personal guide for Uganda was very knowledgeable and the head of the company made sure we had every amenity available to us. Our guides in Kenya and Tanzania were just as knowledgeable and took great care of us as well. All in all, a great experience!!!

A memorable and rememberable experience experience

What a memorable and rememberable experience to travel with KUBWA FIVE SAFARIS..it a safer and reliable touring with them. We got to see animals in their natural habitats,We saw lions, leopards, wildebeest and giraffes. The scenery of ngorongoro crater and serengeti national park was spectacular. Our guide was very accommodating on the safari.We were very comfortable and impressed by his hospitality. It was a nice budget SAFARI and i would like to recommend KUBWA FIVE SAFARIS. Fantastic

We had so much fun in this trip ! We were able to see the chimpanzees and the gorillas. It was an unforgettable experience. Amos and Joseph were incredible, they show us multiple parks and the culture of Uganda, we had so much fun, they really make you feel in family. Amos was very knowledgeable about the parks and animals, he was able to solve all our questions in addition of taking stunning pictures.The places we stayed were amazing, service was incredible, everything was very safe and clean. We spent 7 days but it was not enough time. We went to Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Kibale National Park, and Queen Elizabeth. The experience with the chimps and the gorillas is a MUST, we never thought that we will be having them so close and it was incredible. Thank you so much for this experience!

Unforgettable Experience

Our stay in various hotels became so much more than expected. The trip to Zambia became memorable because of Kubwa Five Safaris. Initially we planned our trip for 8 days and we extended it for 7 more days so that we could visit Botswana too. We had 2 of day of chilling in each country. Innocent, our guide was a great guide, he showed us some places which were not part of our itinerary. He's a brilliant man who really loves where he comes from and did a spectacular job of making me love it too. I must say he's gem of a person and I will highly recommend that you plan out your trip with Kubwa Five Safaris for your amazing holiday in Zambia and Botswana.

This trip to Murchison Falls National Park has been the best experience of our lives and we can't wait to come back and see more. Our view of Uganda is cemented as one of the best places to visit, the people, wildlife and scenery are all spectacular. Professional trustworthy Uganda owned company operating in multiple African countries.

We decided on the 19 day Kubwa Five safari of Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania in July 2025 because of their great reviews, they operate in multiple countries, and are a Uganda owned company. A guide from another tour company advised you pay more using a travel agent. I’ve been to Southern Africa and Tsavo west in Kenya before, but this was by far my best trip. In Uganda we met the friendliest people with smiles on their faces. I’m 70, so comfort was important and we chose the top end hotel option. Most were very good, some better than others. I found Wise the best low cost way to transfer payment. Highlights of Uganda included Murchison Falls, Chimpanzees in Kibale, Gorillas in the Bwindi impenetrable forest. The Batwa cultural tour and orphanage visit moved us. Our Uganda guide, Mustafa has been driving for 8 years which is important as some of the roads can be bumpy with no signs. Mustafa was outstanding, going out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our trip. He found tree climbing lions in Murchison Falls and shoebill storks on the last day driving back to Entebbe. In Kenya we saw an abundance of wildlife on the boat ride at Lake Naivasha staying at one of the best hotels, SOPA. The balloon ride in Maasai Mara was another memorable experience. We were apprehensive at first. Once floating gently above, we saw herds of wildebeest and zebra, along with lions with their kill. The cultural visit to the Maasai Mara was disappointing as they asked for money for everything although we got a taste as to how they live. I bought a lot of souvenirs to be shipped to Australia and could have used some advice on how to bargain. It was a long bumpy ride from Kenya to Tanzania where we got a new driver. We tried twice unsuccessfully to see the wildebeest crossing the Mara river at the Maasai Mara and northern Serengeti. I convinced my wife to go on the early morning drive in the northern Serengeti where there are fewer safari vehicles. We were rewarded with an incredible experience, herds of Wildabeest crossing the crocodile infested Mara river. Our driver got us in a great position for taking photos. Not once did we feel in danger from animals or people. We hardly had any insect bites, perhaps because it was the dry season. We were put in the group of gorillas not requiring a long hike and it only took 5 minutes to spot them. If you love nature, wildlife, and meeting people of different cultures and have an adventurous spirit, Kubwa Five is for you.
