Great service and budget options

We booked a 5 days shared tour in a 4x4 Land Cruiser with Moses to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru. The price was really good (considering how expensive safaris in 4x4 are), but we ended having to change the group/car we were in 2 times, and we also saw this happening with other people that also booked shared tours. So it's good to check this in advance. Anyway Moses was always available to help us, including acomodating a side trip to Mt Longonot, and we ended having a great Safari!

If I do another Safari Tour I would chose Moran Discoveries again

I went with 6 other friends to Kenya and we spent 5 days in Kenya. The first 3 days we did the lake Navaisha and Masai Mara Safari before we headed to the Nairobi city to relax. while at lake Navaisha and Masai Mara Safari , Moses and Andrew literally took us by hand and explained in details the entire time. Broke down the details of the activities and ensure we had very good local food and a good time. We did also walk down to the local Masai mara village to meet the locals and we got to the boder line mara river that divides the Serenghetti of Tanzania and then the Masai Mara of Kenya. It was a trip I will never forget and expose us to that part of the world. I will now be visiting Kenya more often and I can say I've made good friends and acquintance in Moses. Moran Discoveries & Tours went above and beyond to make my Kenyan vacation wonderful.

I had an unorthodox trip to Kenya where it was really a trip to visit my girlfriend interrupted byva safari. We were trying to work around her work schedule while giving me as complete of an experience as possible. I wanted to see real Kenya where she lived, and I got to experience downtown Nairobi, riding in a matatu (Kenya's colorful and creative minibuses), and having a drinks in both local pub and a modern sports bar (on a safari holiday, but....football...some of you understand. That was just the prelude to our wonderful safari trip where our driver seemed to know everywhere to go and everything we were looking at. And, we were getting there before the convoy of vehicles so we always had the best pictures. But most importantly, they were just fun to be with and devoted to us having the best experience. On a personal note, I'll bring up just because especially appreciated the care involved. I have a medical condition which requires me to use the toilet frequently, but I didn't want that to be hold up to my experience. They were so understanding on this and made sure I had privacy and zero embarrassment on the matter. The kindness shown almost brings a tear to my eye in a way that only someone whose dreaded that situation understands. I would certainly recommend Moses and his team to anyone travelling to Kenya for any purpose, but especially for a safari.

Spectacular game drive in Maasai Mara

Moses was incredibly professional, honest, and kind, a true expert in planning and coordination. Andrew, our driver and guide, was the best driver we could’ve asked for! Thanks to his sharp eyes and deep understanding of the wild, we were lucky to witness all of the Big Five and even saw the breathtaking river crossing of migrating zebras and gnus. The entire trip was handled with care, patience, and warmth. We recommend them with all our hearts, unforgettable memories!

Had an amazing experience on safari with Moran discoveries. The tour was organized really well, Mose and Richard did their best so I could enjoy every single moment of my 3 day trip to Maasai Mara. Wonderful game drives ended up with seeing everything: big 5 + cheetahs and lots of giraffes , so close that I could almost pet them. Richard himself is from Maasai village, so he knows a lot about wildlife and local culture, I visited Maasai village, which I think is must do if you want to embrace all the culture and local atmosphere. also had a half day game drive in to Nairobi national park and got lucky to see Rhinos there. My first time in Africa! Thank you so much for the tour! Thank you moran!! Africa was something I couldn't help but look forward to. While I was looking for a Masai Mara tour, I came across the Moran tour on the Safari Bookings site. There were fewer reviews compared to other companies, but I chose it! During the reservation process, Moses was so kind and guided me in detail, so I felt good right from the reservation process. Before that, we made the preparations and deposited the deposit and came to our accommodation on the day of the tour. We were first introduced to our guide (KAMAU) and started an enjoyable trip. It was a fun trip from the start and it lasted until the end for 6 days and 5 nights. Two days in Amboseli, one day in Naivasha, two days in Masai Mara and finally moving to Nairobi.. In between, Moses checked our condition through WhatsApp.. Our KAMAU without any change in schedule. He guided us through the tour in a pleasant way. For each tour, he guided us exactly to the animals and spots we needed to see, moved us around, gave us enough time to take pictures, and most of all, I was grateful for the really kind and detailed guide. The guide's role is very important on a tour like this, and all four of us were so happy that we gave it the highest rating and only praised it. nakupenda KAMAU!! The accommodation conditions at each branch were also very satisfactory. He kindly taught us a lot about the Swahili language, and we were really impressed by his safe driving skills and crisis response skills. Truly amazing!

The tour was so amazing! We had a wonderful experience! We learned so much about the Masai Mara and Kenya. The food was delicious, and the accommodation was really cool and unique! The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the itinerary said we would eat lunch by the Mara River (which sounded like so much fun!) but this was not the case.

We used Moran Tours a number of times to explore Masai Mara and Amboseli. Moses and driver Andrew are familiar with the camps, know the terrain well and are great company, and on their tours we always got lucky in terms of wildlife sightings, thanks largely to their connections with other guides in the parks. One piece of constructive feedback is that the camps can be rough with changing bookings / rooms with no notice, so Moses will need to learn to be more insistent at getting what his guests ordered.

Everything You Need and More!

From the time we reached out to Moran, they were very accommodating and responsive. Moises was very helpful and adapted to changes we had to make in our plans. They even adjusted our lodging to ensure we had secure accommodations with a great experience. Throughout the entire tour, Moises and our driver were entertaining and informative. We learned some Swahili from them and we shared family and cultural stories about Kenya and the U.S. The driving skills were excellent and ensured we were comfortable and their knowledge across the different preserves was incredible! We saw the Special 5 in Samburu, all but a leopard from the Big 5 (we saw the kill in a tree, but not the hunter themselves), and beautiful birds I've never even heard of before. Our driver had a talent for pulling the vehicle into locations where we could get a good angle on a lion or cheetah through the bush. We had two incredible moments where we stopped the vehicle and sat there in silence as elephants and giraffes fed, then walked past us. It was peaceful and beautiful. This trip was to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and my wife's 50th birthday. Moises even ensured that the lodge celebrated our milestones at dinner, Special deserts and the whole staff came out to the table in the dining room. We all sang and danced to celebrate. It was very special and shows the extra steps Moran tours takes to make every aspect of your trip special. An all around outstanding experience! I HIGHLY recommend Moran tours!

How to do your first Safari in Kenya

Before choosing the tour, I carefully selected the places I wanted to visit. I went to Masai Mara, Nakuru, Amboseli, and Naivasha. I spent a total of 7 days on safari and saw all the animals I wanted, such as elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, gazelles, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, flamingos, pelicans... Highly recommended, but keep in mind that safaris can be tiring when you go for so many days, and you need to be prepared for changes in schedule, meals, and patience to see the animals. At Lake Naivasha, you can take a boat, see them up close, and walk on an island; this is an extra cost.
